SUMMER HOLIDAYS HOMEWORK
CLASS –IV
Few reminders for the students:
1.Get closer to the nature-(i) Get up early in the morning and see the rising sun.
(ii) Join your grandparents and parents for their morning walk.
(iii)Water the plants and feed the birds.
2. Meditate and do simple yoga exercises.
3. Give away toys and clothes that you do not need.
4. Suggested channels to watch – History channel, discovery kids etc.
5. Joy of Reading: cultivate the habit of reading books of your choice as books can be your best friends.
ENGLISH
Reading: 1.Read chap 1 to 3
2. Read the newspaper daily &write the brief of at least one headline in the notebook.
Writing:1.Make a Daily Diary. Record the events, moments or the experience of each day in the diary
2. Do the good deeds & mention them in the diary.
Literature:1.Learn the work done in notebook till date.
2. Make at least five questions from each chapter 1 to 3 & write their answers.
Vocabulary: 1.Find the meanings of at least 15 new words & write their meanings.
Grammar: 1.Paste at least five newspaper cutting in the scrapbook & mark the eight part of speech mentioned.
Listening& Speaking: 1.Watch English channels on T.V.
2. Try to speak English with your parents, friends& relatives.
Project Work: 1. Write the Quotations based on the moral values & present them nicely.

MATHEMATICS
1. Solve chapter 2 and 3 in a separate notebook. (For All Students)
2. (Roll No. 1 To 15) Make a string on mathematical concepts using rectangular strips.
Example: on multiplying a number by 0, the product obtained is 0.(27x0=0)
(Roll No. 16 To 30) Make a project on roman numerals from 1 to 100 on a mount board using colored
Toothpicks and matchsticks.
(Roll No. 31 To 45) Make any 2 useful solid objects depicting any geometrical shape ( circle, square, Rectangle,
triangle, cube, cuboids, etc) using waste material.

2. Roll Number: 16 to 32 Collect information of food items of different region and festival dishes. Make a spiral

3. Roll Number 33 to 45 Make a chart of different animals having different ears and teeth and write their
names along. Chapter 9
Revise chapter 1,2 and 3 for periodic assessment.
