We welcome you to join us for this new presentation on the topic of in-die
transfer systems presented by Mr. Gary Ruby, Director of Engineering
Development & Sales at M.S. Willett, Incorporated.
Gary began his career at M.S. Willett in 1980 where he completed his
Machinist/Toolmaker Apprenticeship program. Over the past 37 years at
Willett, he’s been promoted several times in positions of increasing
responsibility working with the assembly and development of complex transfer
systems and field installations. Other positions included tool & system design,
and project engineering. Throughout his career Gary has always taken a
hands-on approach.
Willett is headquartered in Cockeysville, MD, which is located between
Baltimore, MD and York, PA. Willett operates two business units: Production
Division and the Tool & Die Division, which while separate and independently
run entities, frequently collaborate to achieve customer expectations. Willett,
an ISO 9001: 2008 registered company, operates in two buildings over
60,000 square feet.
The Production Division is a full-service manufacturer of stamped
components in presses with capabilities from 30 to 400 tons and with material
up to 0.150" at 40" and 0.250" at 10" mild steel (coil) and .375 thick in strip.
They are off-load specialists experienced in single items or entire product
lines from simple to complex shapes. They also offer sheet metal fabrication
services. A diverse range of processes are used to fashion sheet metal into
finished products. These processes include precision cutting, forming, welding
and finished services.
The Tool & Die Division is a full-service tooling and machine shop with
experience in machining all materials from space age to tool steels. Willett's
engineering and design team's expertise and computer aided design
capabilities supports its customers from part design and prototype to
completed manufactured part for a variety of industries. They design and
engineer close tolerances in blanking, compound, deep draw, progressive
and gag dies, part transfer systems, replacement and spare tooling and
