The 27th Annual Sport Source Showcase will be held Dec.1-3, 2017, at
Craig Ranch & Al Ruschhaupt Soccer Complexes in McKinney, TX
Stay to Play Event - Applicable to out of town teams
Showcase begins Friday Dec.1st at 2:00PM with the kick-off of the
College Style Clinic at the Craig Ranch Soccer Complex. Accepted
teams should be prepared for a schedule that may include play on
Friday Dec. 1st 6:00PM
Making Application Does Not Guarantee Acceptance
SHOWCASE FORMAT: Each team is assigned three [3] matches
unless otherwise noted. Games are considered exhibition games and
score cards are not required.
The exhibition format allows players to perform in their normal role,
showcase their individual and team skills, without the added pressure
of trying to win the overall tournament.
The event is open to all US Soccer Member Organizations, including
US Youth, US Club, ODP and Showcase Teams.
ELIGIBILITY: The Host committee will evaluate teams on the basis
of competitiveness, strength of league, local, state, regional and
national tournament participation and overall record/standings.
ACCEPTANCE: Accepted teams will be notified by phone and/or by
email, directed to the coach and team manager as listed on the
application. Accepted teams must follow all showcase rules. Once
accepted, there are no refunds and no refunds once the event has
started.
ALTERNATE POOL: Teams may be offered an option to become
an “Alternate” should their age appropriate bracket be full. The
Showcase application and entry fee will not be processed for any
team in the Alternate Pool, until the team has been offered and
accepted the available opening into the Showcase.
PAYMENT: Acceptable payment methods for the Showcase fee are
by Credit Card, or by bank check deposit. Checks returned as NSF
will incur a $40.00 service fee.
PLAYER TRAVEL CARDS: Teams traveling from outside of North
Texas are required to provide player ID cards. ID cards will be
verified at registration. North Texas players are not required to
provide a Player ID Card.
PERMISSION TO TRAVEL: Teams MUST obtain “Permission” to
travel from their local association except for US CLUB teams, or
teams registered with North Texas State Soccer Association.
TEAM ROSTERS: Each team is allowed the maximum 22 player
roster; this includes a limit of up to 5 guest players.
GUEST PLAYERS: Guest players must be properly registered with
their state association and carded in accordance with state and
national soccer associations. Guest players must have a
team/player release, travel ID card, medical release and be in good
standing with their local state association.
MEDICAL RELEASES: All players are required to have a medical
release. Players without a medical release and proper
paperwork WILL NOT participate.
HOTELS: This is a Stay to Play Event. Out of town teams must
stay in designated Showcase hotels, or risk forfeiting the entry
fee and participation in the Showcase. NO EXCEPTIONS.
Your team will receive a hotel reservation form. Special rates,
amenities and other services have been arranged to make your stay
enjoyable. Please follow all instructions and deadlines to secure
your team block.
SPECIAL REQUESTS When submitting the application, please
advise us of any special request such as travel, SAT testing, or student
needs. We will do our best to accommodate requests submitted with the
team application.
COACHES WITH MULTIPLE TEAMS: Please advise us if your
coach will have more than 1team participating in the Showcase. We will
do our best to have your coach remain on 1 field during the event to
save everyone time. Coaches with more than 2 teams will be
required to have an assistant on hand if needed.
