Goalkeeper Programming Proposal for
Culpeper Soccer Club

Purpose
To partner with Culpeper Soccer Club (CSC) to provide a quality goalkeeper environment for the
players in the recreational, academy, and travel soccer programs. The goalkeeper clinics and
camps designed for CSC will focus on the needs and diversity of all goalkeepers in the club to
ensure an opportunity is provided for all members regardless of age, gender, or athletic ability.
Proposal
Keeping in line with the goal of CSC to develop and maintain soccer programs that promote and
advance the sport of soccer within the community, Own The Goal proposes the following
goalkeeping opportunities for all CSC goalkeepers:
1. Goalkeeper Expo
2. Goalkeeper Clinics
3. Goalkeeper Camps

Goalkeeper Expo
o Introduce players and parents to Own The Goal Elite Goalkeeper Training staff and the
fundamental concepts of goalkeeping
o Offered to all interested goalkeepers (U9-U18) in the Culpeper community
o 1 Hour
o Free

Goalkeeper Clinics
o Own The Goal multi-week clinics provide consistent training of multiple skills in a
progressive, competitive, detail oriented environment. Each week the goalkeepers get
numerous repetitions in an environment designed to refine their technique and develop
the skills and confidence required to play in the goal.
o Stand-alone recreational clinics can also be offered on a monthly or biweekly basis. The
clinic would be 90 minutes for $25.

Goalkeeper Camps
o Unlike the typical goalkeeper camp that tries to “do it all” in a brief period of time, the
majority of our camps are designed to provide intensive focus on a limited number of
skills, thereby allowing the goalkeeper to really dig in and master a skill set.

Evaluation
To ensure all products and services provided by Own The Goal meet your expectations and the
expectations of the coaches, parents, and players, Own The Goal will conduct a formal
evaluation after every goalkeeping camp and clinic offered. A survey will be sent out to coaches
and parents to assess their satisfaction levels with the goalkeeping opportunities provided as
well as to identify any additional goalkeeping needs they feel are not being met. All results will
be reported and presented to the CSC board members at the end of every evaluation cycle.
Requirements
 CSC will provide the following:
o Venue with lights
o Two small goals
o Two large goals

Own The Goal will provide the following:
o Expo, clinic, and camp registration via the Own The Goal website
o All other equipment, to include Own The Goal t-shirts to all camp and clinic participants
(excluding stand-alone clinics)
Marketing / Publicity
CSC authorizes Own The Goal to utilize the CSC logo on all marketing materials to include the
Own The Goal website to market the expo, camps, and clinics.
Conclusion
In 2013, after years of developing the most accomplished goalkeepers in Virginia, Celia Mosier
came to the Richmond Strikers to coach in the Elite Clubs National League and start a
Goalkeeper Academy. Her dream was to create a consistent environment in which goalkeepers
could develop the technical ability, tactical awareness and confidence that it takes to impact the
game on a consistent basis. The result of that dream is Own The Goal. It would be a privilege to

Cancellation
If by any means the camps or clinics must be cancelled in their entirety the amount paid by the
registered participant will be refunded in full. However, if the camp or clinic is held for the
majority of its scheduled time the participant will not be refunded.

help provide the goalkeepers of CSC with the knowledge and skills that will enable them to
experience more success in the game.
Own The Goal Information
Celia Mosier has 20 years of coaching experience at all levels, and in that time has worked with
thousands of goalkeepers. She has helped prepare keepers who have played professionally, for
Youth National Teams, and ODP Regional and State teams. Many of her keepers have enjoyed
success at the collegiate level, including multiple GKs participating in the Division I Final Four.
She has worked with United States Development Academy (USDA) and Elite Clubs National
League (ECNL) Goalkeepers for multiple clubs and is currently the GK Director for Richmond
Strikers and Richmond United, winner of the 2014 U23 National Championship.
