League Manager: Blair Duncan [email protected] or 463 6614 Time Requests It is expected that teams are available to play in any timeslot during the league they enter. Requests for specific playing time frames can be made at the time of registration and will be accommodated only where possible. Please be aware this is not always possible, particularly during finals rounds, and teams are still expected to be able to play. Time requests must be noted on the registration form. Defaults It is expected that teams are able to play every week. Defaults should be avoided where at all possible and no-shows will not be tolerated. Any team who does not turn up to their match without providing a day’s notice will receive one warning, and repeat offenders will be removed from the league without a refund. Grades Where possible, leagues will be split into two divisions - ‘social’ and ‘socially competitive.’ The ‘social’ divisions are designed for newer, more relaxed teams. The ‘socially competitive’ grades are designed for teams after a higher level of competition and will have slightly stricter officiating. When registering, please rate your team on a scale of 1-10. Please note – your rating is a guide for us to scale the different divisions. For example, a 7 could result in being placed in either a social or socially competitive division, depending on other teams’ ratings. Social 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 Socially Competitive 10 Registration Every team is required to complete a registration form with player details. Individual players need to fill in their own details on the front of the registration form. Players must be 16 years or over to participate in the leagues. Players must have played two games during pool play to be eligible to play during finals rounds. The exception to this is if both teams agree that a fill-in player can be used; in this case, the fill in player can play and the result of the game will stand. Participants can play for multiple teams throughout the different leagues, but can only play in one team in any given league. Exceptions may be granted in special circumstances. Communication Draws, results, tables and any league updates will be emailed directly to team captains, who are responsible for passing on to all team members. This information will also be posted in a league-specific Facebook event. The URL for this will be sent to captains prior to the league beginning. Misconduct Leagues are designed to be social and enjoyable for all participants. Players and teams must compete and conduct themselves in the spirit of fair play. Aggressive play, violent misconduct and foul language will not be tolerated, and any incidents of this nature will be dealt with seriously. Potential consequences include the withdrawal of specific players or a whole team from games/the league, without a refund. Any players who are intoxicated will not be allowed to play and will be asked to leave the facility. If you have any concerns relating to any behaviour or incidents that occur during the leagues, please contact the League Manager. Photos Please be aware that photos may be taken during league matches and used in Victoria Recreation displays. Please contact the League Manager if you are not okay with this. Gender Ratios All our leagues are open for males and females. There are no set gender ratios in the football or basketball leagues. In the netball leagues, a team is allowed a maximum of 3 male players on the court at any one time. League Manager: Blair Duncan [email protected] or 463 6614
