SPORTZAMANIA 2011 TOURNAMENT DETAILS Sportzamania 2011 is organised by the Central Narcotics Bureau (CNB) and will be held on Sunday, 24 July 2011 at Sports Planet, East Coast Park. There will be two main sports tournaments for the event – captain ball and futsal. Details of the tournaments are stated below. A) Composition of Teams Each team shall comprise a total of 8 players (5 players and 3 reserves). Each team must have 1 goalkeeper and 4 players. The categories for the tournament are as follow: Captain Ball Tournament Under-13 Boys Under-13 Girls Under-17 Boys Under-17 Girls Futsal Tournament Under-13 Boys Under-13 Girls Under-17 Boys Under-17 Girls B) Eligibility The tournaments are open to participants who are born in or after 1998 (for Under-13) and those who are born in or after 1994 (for Under-17). Each team will appoint a captain, who will ensure that the players meet the age criterion. Participants must bring along their Student EZ Link Card, NRIC or Birth Certificate on the tournament date for verification purposes. Participants must complete and submit their team’s registration form (either Annex A or B) by Friday, 8 July 2011. Registration is free-of-charge. C) Indemnity Participants must seek parental consent and complete an indemnity form (attached at Annex C). The organiser will take reasonable care in the proper and safe conduct of the event. The organiser will however, not be responsible for any damages or injuries sustained during the event. Participants shall be personally responsible for their own safety and properties during participation in the event. D) Most Supported Team Award Teams are encouraged to bring along supporters for the tournaments. The organiser will look out for teams with the most supporters, loudest cheers and most props (e.g. banners, flags etc). The “Live It Loud” logo must be included in the design. Winning teams in each category will be awarded with the following prizes: First Prize - $100 cash prize Second Prize - $80 cash prize Third Prize - $50 cash prize All entries must reach CNB by Friday, 8 July 2011 together with the submission of the registration form at either Annex A (Captain Ball) or Annex B (Futsal) and the indemnity form at Annex C. Late submissions will not be accepted. G) Others Registration for the tournaments closes on Friday, 8 July 2011 and is on a firstcome-first-served basis. After the closing date, the organiser will contact the teams whose registrations are successful. Teams are not allowed to withdraw from the tournament once participation is confirmed. Team captains are required to find replacement(s) if any player has to withdraw due to unforeseen circumstances and the organiser must be informed in advance (at least 3 working days before Sunday, 24 July 2011). The organiser has the right to withdraw the whole tournaments or any categories of the tournaments without prior notice. The organiser may also change, amend or withdraw any of the guidelines/programmes stipulated without prior notice. Lunch (Halal) will be provided for all registered players. The “Live It Loud” logo must be included in the design. The dimensions for the anti-drug clapper are as follow: 10cm 60cm The design must be original and not contain the trademarks, logos, copyrighted works or intellectual properties of any other parties. The design can be done using computer software or hand-drawn, in black and white or colour. The design can be submitted via email (the file size for soft copy must be between 150 and 300 dpi), post or by hand, with the team name, school and tournament category clearly indicated on the envelope and the back of the paper on which the design is drawn. The organiser reserves the right to disqualify any entry which is not submitted in accordance with the requirements stated above. All decisions of the judges are final. No correspondences or enquiries will be entertained. The organiser reserves the right to modify and touch-up the winning design to enhance its aesthetic appeal before printing. The judging criteria for the contest is as follow: o Clarity of the anti-drug message – 40% o Attractiveness in design and layout – 30% o Creativity and originality of content – 30%
