Hytek for Coaches - BC Summer Swimming Association

What you really need to know!
It’s an important team management tool – if used correctly.
Other seminars are about the swimmers. This one is really for
the coach
Save time in your job – you’re not paid by the hour are
you? So the less hours you can spend in your job in, the
more you make per hour, and the more time you have for
“life”

 Importing and exporting of data
 Coaches often outlast registrars, so you may find
yourself the club ‘expert’ on Team Manager
Establish early the ‘ground rules’ of who does what in
Team Manager
Share the Database
Database is saved locally to your
computer
Any change is an edit
•Registrar adds a swimmer
•Registrar updates a name or
phone number
•Coach assigns a group
•Coach does a meet entry
You have to share the database
between coach(es) and
registrar.
Ensure that everyone stays up to
date.
•Share with enough people, don’t
overshare. Privacy of information.
Ensure correct roster is
submitted for Provincial
eligibility ( head coach)
Team Connect Online lets you share
the database

file is exported, seed times will be updated in program.
Lots of Reports Available

Provincial Roster
 Head Coach is responsible for signing a printed copy
of their full roster
 Hard to do for 200+ swimmers. So.......
