Instructions for calling in Game Scores and MORE
At this year’s tournament we would like to have teams report scores immediately after their games.
Below is the procedure to follow for reporting the results of your game.
1. Look at your schedule and make note of your game numbers. In brackets where Sunday games
are determined by prior results, you will need to look for your game after all preliminary games
have been completed (ALL GROUPS except U9 & U10 Boys)
2. After your game is complete, the WINNING TEAM ONLY sends a text message to (703) 8640418 with the score listing the home team 1st and the visiting team second.
a. In the example above in game 001 if the Little Messi’s beat ASA Rev’s by a score of 2-1
the text by the Little Messi’s would read, “Game #1, 1-2”.
b. If you’d prefer to provide team names you can, “Game #1, Messi’s 2, Revs 1”.
c. If there is a tie, the HOME TEAM (listed 1st on the schedule) should report the score
3. For those of you with a Smart Phone there is another preferred method to report scores.
a. You need to be able to scan a QR code like the one below. There are plenty of free apps
available for various mobile operating systems

i. After your game is complete the WINNING TEAM ONLY scans the below code.
Note that this code is specifically for game #1 ONLY. That’s okay because below
are instructions on how to input the results for all games
ii. After you scan the code you’ll see an entry screen like Figure 1. It will default to
Game #1 but you can change the game number to your own (see Figure 2 shows
game #68)

iii. Once you’ve input the correct game number and select “Go” you should see the
teams listed that you are reporting for and can now input your score. Simply
touch the empty box next to the “H” or “A” and another box will appear at the
bottom (figure 3) . Enter the score there and “SAVE” and the screen will update
showing the proper score (figure 4). If you’ve input incorrectly you can correct
from within this screen.

Once you’ve scanned in your score, please send a text to 703-864-0418, “Game #X (your game number)
entered”. Why bother scanning in the score myself if I still need to send a text? Good question! The
scores will need to be entered for all texted scores so having teams enter them directly is preferable.
The text is just confirmation that it’s been taken care of.
If you notice an incorrect score has been entered, and you weren’t the one to enter it, call or text 703864-0418 and it will be taken care of. If you were the one who made the mistake you can go ahead and
self-correct it.
