AGRIKIDSNZ COMPETITION
RULES AND CONDITIONS OF ENTRY
2017 Season
1. To be eligible to enter, all contestants in the team must:
a. Be between 8 years of age and Year 8.
b. Be an enrolled school student; up to and including Year 8
c. Enter the competition for the region in which they reside.
d. Must be an AgriKidsNZ Member
e. Have not won a previous Grand Final of the AgriKidsNZ Competition.
2. All contestants in the team:
a. Compete at their own risk
b. Must undertake all activities in a safe manner.
3. At Regional Final level, immediate family members of AgriKidsNZ Officials can compete, however
they cannot be awarded a placing or receive any prizes unless they complete a Conflict of Interest
Form prior to competing and have approval from NZ Young Farmers Competition Coordinator.
4. The Team agrees to allow AgriKidsNZ Officials to use their image(s) for media purposes and to allow
contact details to be forwarded to media. Upon request, details can be withheld from media provided
this is communicated in writing to the Competitions Coordinator.
5. The Team must respect all decisions and requests made by AgriKidsNZ Officials.
6. The Team agrees to be bound by the judges’ decisions.
7. The Team will do nothing to bring the competition, its sponsors, judges and organisers into disrepute
and will behave in a proper manner befitting such a competition at all times.
8. The venues are out of bounds for Teams in the 2 days prior to the competition at Regional and Grand
Final level.
9. The Team agrees to arrive at the venue no later than the time notified.
10. The Team will not communicate with ANY member of the public regarding competition challenges or
content during the competition. (This includes parents and other family members.) Teams risk
disqualification or point(s) deduction if they are deemed to have gained advantage through breach
of this rule.
11. The prizes are to be accepted as awarded, and no other product or cash in lieu of the prize shall be
negotiated for, or given.
12. If, for a valid reason, one member of the team cannot compete at Grand Final Level, the team is
able to have one person as a reserve member; however, this member must adhere to these
guidelines.
Failure to adhere to these ‘Conditions of Entry’ can result
in disqualification at the discretion of the Competitions
Coordinator.
