2016 Senior Playing Rules PLAYERS EQUIPMENT 1. All players must wear shin guards and club issued uniforms. 2. Players will not be permitted to wear jewelry. (i.e. Necklaces, watches, earrings, rings and any other body piercing that are not covered by their uniform), medic alert bracelets are allowed but must be taped. ARM OR HAND CASTS Only those players wearing a soft cast will be permitted to play if the cast does not present a danger to him/herself or any other player. All casts must be adequately padded. The referee will make the final decision as to the acceptability of any cast. Any player who uses a cast with the intent to intimidate or injure another player shall be cautioned or sent off immediately. NO HARD PLASTER CASTS WILL BE ALLOWED WITH OR WITHOUT PADDING. If a player is injured, and blood is visible, the player must be removed from the field of play until such time that the bleeding has stopped and may only re-enter the field of play once the referee has inspected the player and given their permission to do so. Players must wear a clean jersey upon re-entering the field; no visible blood on uniform is permissible. NO player will be allowed to play with metal or plastic hair clips, which may cause harm to themselves or other players. Soft hair bands or scrunches are permitted. Sweatbands or elastics are not permitted. It is the responsibility of the Team Captains to enforce these limitations before the start or during any game. Non compliance will only delay, or stop the game in progress. NOTE: It is not necessarily your referee or club applying these limitations; we are mandated by F.I.F.A./OSA and their insurance providers to comply. The winner of the coin toss will kick off in the first half; the loser will kick off in the second half. All teams are to change ends at half-time. The duration of all matches will be two 45 halves, with a 5 minute halftime interval. All house league players senior teams are encouraged to play close to equal playing time on the field. As per ‘gentlemen’s rules’ teams should play evenly (or one extra player) based on the team with the fewer players. A grace period of 15 minutes will be permitted in the event that a team has less than seven players at kickoff, however the game must start immediately upon arrival of the seventh player. NO SLIDE TACKLING allowed in any house league division - definition: A player may not slide for the ball or for any other reason if they are in close proximity (2m or 6ft) to another player. If the assigned referee does not show for a scheduled game please contact Frances Wiscombe immediately. Alternatively, an un-sanctioned friendly game can take place. Every effort will be made to re-schedule said game/s. Teams may only ‘call up’ players from their own club – Any team may call up 8 players during the regular season to a maximum roster of 15 players but must have a minimum of 7 of their own rostered team. 6 game regular season maximum for any individual call-up player, not including cup or tournament. Acceptable Call-up Players are defined as follows for each division; Men’s A –call-ups from EGSC B Division, cross calling allowable for regular season schedule only, not cup or tournament. Men’s B – call-ups from EGSC 035 Men’s YRSL senior league, cross calling allowable for regular season schedule only, not cup or tournament. Women’s A – call-ups from EGSC B Division, as well as U18G recreational teams, but only those in the oldest age level, i.e. 18 or turning, cross calling allowable for regular season schedule only, not cup or tournament,. Women’s B – call-ups from EGSC Ladies mini-house league, cross calling allowable for regular season schedule only, not cup or tournament. Player Eligibility – All players shall be registered on an approved OSA registration form through EGSC. A team playing an ineligible player shall forfeit any game(s) which the player played and shall be subject to further disciplinary action. Player shirt numbers must correspond to the numbers on the game sheet. If a call-up player is used, it must be noted by circling such player’s name on the game sheet. Uniforms – Uniforms (including shirt/short/socks) are included in the registration fee. If any Senior team wishes to order separate uniforms, they are welcome to do so, but there will be ‘NO’ reduction in registration costs. Please note that the usage of the EGSC logo must be in accordance with our club standards and the uniform color must first be approved by the board. Please contact the club if you have any questions. Pro-rated Player Registration The 2016 soccer season for the Senior League will offer a onetime pro-rated fee to senior players joining part-way through the season. This can only be done to replace players that have been lost due to injury/moving. New uniforms will not be provided rather than taken over from player who has had to leave team(s). The one-time fee is set at th $115. and will be effective as of Monday, July 8 , 2016. Prior to this date full registration fees are in effect.
