SUSTAINABILITY IS THE VALUE OF CHAIN “ Green Jewellery” is the theme of the new edition of VICENZAORO, top player in Europe in the goldsmith-jewellery field. Over 1,500 worldwide and trend-setter brands will be exhibited at the Show. Vicenza, July 4th 2017 – The International Jewellery Exhibition VICENZAORO, organised by the Italian Exhibition Group (IEG) – the most important Italian exhibition & convention provider coming out from the merge of Rimini Fiera and Fiera di Vicenza – announces the new September 2017 edition, that will start from Saturday 23 September with a rich calendar of novelties and appointments. Following the 2017 leading theme, linked to the Corporate Social Responsibility in the goldsmith and jewellery sector, the fil rouge also for VICENZAORO September 2017 will be “Green Jewellery”, the corporate responsibility and the sourcing policies of all the materials employed in the field. IEG thus renews its commitment to stand up for significant issues in support of traceability, ethical trade, environmental protection, safeguard of the right-duty to work and of the health and safety in the jewellery chain. VICENZAORO September 2017 confirms its international scope by involving over 1,500 brands of exhibiting firms coming from 36 countries of all over the world and from the main Italian goldsmith areas, as well as visitors, buyers, journalists, opinion leaders and trendsetters of the foreign key markets. Thanks to the support of ICE (the agency for the promotion abroad and internationalization of the Italian firms), VICENZAORO will host 500 choice buyers coming from the main reference markets and also a delegation of 150 Italian retailers by Federpreziosi, the National Federation of goldsmith, jewellery, silversmith and clockmaker firms. In addition, over 800 Gold Buyers, chosen among the top players of the European and International market will benefit from exclusive services devoted to them during the Show. VICENZAORO September 2017 proposes for the second consecutive year the well-established and successful exhibition format, VICENZAORO The Boutique ShowTM, which divides the entire product offer in 6 areas of firms which may be identified for their shared values and market positioning (ICON, LOOK, CREATION, EXPRESSION, ESSENCE, EVOLUTION), by fostering business meetings between firms and international buyers. It is just in the ICON area, after the 2016 success and the preview launched in January 2017, that N.O.W. Not Ordinary Watches, the capsule of Pavilion 7 devoted to 12 brands selected in the world of the Independent Watches will be on show again at VICENZAORO September 2017. Technology and innovation will be the protagonists in the S.E.T Small Equipment & Tools area at Pavilion 2.2: an ambitious project, devoted to the firms dealing with small equipment, tools, 3D printers and software, which meet the demand of both manufacturers and retailers. On Sunday 24 September, 2017 there will be the important appointment with CIBJO, the World Jewellery Confederation that, in collaboration with the Italian Exhibition Group, will organize a conference on the impact of the new EU Mineral Conflicts legislation on the jewellery industry and on the strategies to be implemented to answer effectively to any requirements. The seminar will be held at the Conference Room, Hall 8.0, from h. 10.30 a.m. to h. 1.00 p.m. A calendar full of events will be presented at the brand-new VO Square, an area inside the Fair that will become a pre-eminent space for conferences, talks and meetings with international experts and opinion leaders. On that occasion, this area will become the stage for all-round discussions of themes topical and popular for the goldsmith and jewellery field, in a very easy and user-friendly format. Trends will be the protagonists during the Show with TRENDVISION Jewellery + Forecasting, the forecasting independent observatory of the goldsmith and jewellery world, which will launch the exclusive new TRENDBOOK 2019+. Such publication, source of inspiration and crucial tool for manufacturers and designers willing to be always updated on the consumers’ habits and to anticipate market trends, will be presented on Saturday 23 September during a dedicated seminar, held by Paola De Luca, Creative Director of the Observatory & Forecaster. Young people and creativity in the goldsmith’s world will be the core of the prize-giving ceremony of the winners among the 22 finalists of the “Next Jeneration Jewellery Talent Contest” International Competition, that launched in 2017 the theme “Gioiello e Funzione”. The creations of all the 22 finalists, made by Italian Goldsmith firms (among which some VICENZAORO exhibiting firms), will be showcased during an Exhibition at the Jewels Museum of Vicenza, that will be inaugurated on Friday 22 September on the occasion of the prize-giving. The Contest, at its sixth edition and promoted by IEG in collaboration with the School of Design of the Politecnico di Milano, represents an essential scouting tool to identify and promote new creatives in the international goldsmith scene. *** ITALIAN EXHIBITION GROUP SPA: FOCUS ON Italian Exhibition Group SpA, the Company generated by a merger between Rimini Fiera and Fiera di Vicenza, is led by President Lorenzo Cagnoni, together with Executive Vice President Matteo Marzotto and Managing Director Corrado Facco.
