VISUAL ARTS EXHIBITION: « ANALYSING CUBISM » 20 FEBRUARY - 26 MAY 2013 Analysing Cubism explores the early decades of Cubism and features the work of such celebrated Cubist artists as Albert Gleizes, Evie Hone and Mainie Jellett. The exhibition looks at the work of a number of pioneering Irish artists who travelled to France and further afield to study modern art. Analysing Cubism is presented as part of the programme of visual arts events celebrating Ireland’s Presidency of the European Union and is supported by the Department of Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht, the French Embassy in Ireland and The Irish Times. The theme of the contest is Discover Francophonie and test your skills in French language!. The quiz will be online only on February 27th from 9.30 am to 4 pm. Taking over from the Allons en France contest, it mainly focuses on the human rights matters, the theme of this year being : « The Human Rights in the XXIrst century, getting committed for tomorrow ». The Cultural Service will select a young Irish citizen from 18 to 25 of age, with a good proficiency in French (B1 level required), to participate in a 10 days cultural stay in France, from July 6th to July 16th, all inclusive.
