Players entering must be a member of and in good standing with an Association
affiliated with Badminton NZ or BWF
2.
Players must be born in 2001 or later for Under 17, 2003 or later for Under 15, 2005
or later for Under 13.
3.
The Rules of Play shall be those of the BWF.
4.
All matches will be the best of 3 games to 21 points according to the current BWF
regulations with the exception of plate events.
5.
In Round Robin draws BWF system will be used to calculate winners.
6.
NZ Player Points ranking as at 1st May will be used for the seedings.
7.
All players must act as umpires or line judges when requested.
8.
A player can play in up to 4 events (that is an U13 can enter U15, U15 can enter
U17. The cost of the fourth event is $5.
9.
Tourny shuttles will be used.

the West Coast Junior Championships, and for it to retain, use and disclose these to Badminton NZ. I
acknowledge my right to access and correct any information. My consent is given in accordance with

10. Players must report to the control desk on arrival. All players must be available to
play when called to do so and must remain available throughout the tournament.
11. The Tournament Controller and/or Referee may:
(a) Amend the times of play.
(b) Cancel any event in which insufficient entries are received.
(c) Default a player who is not available to play at the scheduled time.
12. All players must wear regulation badminton attire as per the BNZ Approved Clothing
regulations. Non-marking shoes must be worn.
13. A plate event will be held in singles and in other events if time permits. Entry is
automatic for the losers of their first match. If a player defaults their first match they
are not eligible for the plate.
Players wishing to withdraw must advise the
Tournament Controller/Referee immediately after their first match loss. Plate games
will be played best of 3 games to 11 with no extension.
14. A doubles entry is only confirmed when an entry and entry fees are received from
both players by the closing date. (This excludes “partner required” entries).
15. All players enter at their own risk; no responsibility will be accepted for any injury
received during the tournament.
16. Players withdrawing after entries have closed with not be eligible for a refund unless
a medical certificate is submitted at the time of withdrawal. A $5 administration fee
will be deducted from all refunds.
17. Email entries payment directly to the West Coast Badminton Assn. bank
account. When entering on line you are accepting the conditions of entry.

By entering this event, the player herby agrees and acknowledges that any person shall
