FOCUS 2015
Holy Family Parish Pastoral Plan
Introduction
Almost thirteen years ago, the Pastoral Council of Holy Family Parish embarked on a strategic plan called FOCUS
2005. That plan focused on several goals and objectives that would carry our parish into the new millennium. Almost all
of the goals and objectives from that strategic plan have been implemented because of the diligent work of our Pastoral
Council, Parish Staff, and countless ministers and volunteers from our parish who serve the Lord so selflessly.
Two years ago, the members of our parish were asked to respond to a survey that looked at a number of ministries and
needs in our community. That information has been pulled together to form a second strategic plan called FOCUS 2015.
Interestingly, several goals and objectives have already been addressed even while this plan was being put together. That
reality is a reflection of the ever-demanding needs which constantly arise in our parish community. It is also a testament
to the continued foresight and dedicated service which the leaders of our parish exhibit. FOCUS 2015 serves as a
template to guide our parish into the future. It is a living document that contains goals and objectives for seven areas:
Sacraments and Liturgy, Faith Formation, Parish Life, Pastoral Care, Stewardship, Finance and Administration, and
Communication/Digital Discipleship. The Goals deal with strengthening current programs and initiating new ones. They
are statements of WHAT the Parish wants to achieve in the coming three years. The Objectives specify HOW a goal will
be achieved.
The implementation of FOCUS 2015 is the responsibility of the individual parish ministries and a Pastoral Council
Member designated to oversee each area. That Pastoral Council leader will monitor the progress of implementing the
goals and objectives of their area and report on that progress at each Pastoral Council meeting. FOCUS 2015 is a work
in progress that will continue to expand and be modified to meet the needs of Holy Family Parish for the next few years
and beyond.
