WELCOME BACK!
MACMILLAN COFFEE MORNING
A warm welcome to all our children and parents to a new
year at school, and our first year as Beeches Junior School! It
has been great to see the children again and to hear their
happy stories from their summer adventures. A particularly
warm welcome to our Year 3 children and parents. If this is
your first time as a parent at our school, we hope you have
found the transition to be a smooth one. If anything is
unclear, or if you have any concerns you wish to raise, please
come and talk to us. Your child’s class teacher is usually the
best person to answer any queries, but we are all happy to
help where we can.
The children have settled really well this week, and have
been straight into the hard work. We have told the children
that there is a particular emphasis this year on taking pride in
our books and our work. The children have responded
positively, and we’re sure you will notice this when you come
to our Parents’ Evenings in October!
We wish everyone a happy and successful school year, and
are looking forward to working with you.
As last year, we will be holding a MacMillan Coffee Morning,
and we will need your help! Please note that our coffee
morning will be on Thursday 29th September; most events
across the country will be on the Friday. More details will be
given soon, but we will need you to get baking! Above all, we
really hope lots of you will be able to come along, part with a
bit of money for MacMillan and sit down, relax, eat cake,
drink tea & coffee and have a chat!
EID AL-ADHA
Many of our families will be celebrating Eid next week, with
most sources, including Birmingham Central Mosque, stating
that Eid will fall on Monday. Therefore, all children who are
celebrating can have Monday as an authorised absence, and
are not expected in school that day, although they can attend
if they wish. Children who are not celebrating Eid are
expected to attend as usual, and all children must return to
school on Tuesday. We wish all those who are celebrating
Eid Mubarak, and hope that you have a very happy family day
on Monday.
