Fakenham Team win first ever medal position for North Norfolk at 2014 Norfolk Village Games Active Norfolk’s North Norfolk representative, Aaron Roberts, confirmed that the Fakenham team at the 2014 Village Games finals “didn’t win but finished third :-‐) North Norfolk's first ever medal position!!!! “. Nearly fifty athletes attended the finals at the Norwich UEA to represent Fakenham following their victory at the North Norfolk heats in nine sports. The town competed over eleven sports in the large town category. Richard Crook, who helped bring the teams together said, “It was a fantastic team performance all round. Everyone did the town proud. Unfortunately our gym triathletes and athletics teams could not make it on the day. However it was impressive to see Rebecca Codman and Jacob-‐Lee Watts (age 15) run form their Rounders matches to fit in a gym triathlon ably accompanied by Clive Drew who had to schedule his triathlon between his darts matches. The other particularly notable performances came from Ben (13) and Adam (11) Todd in the Junior Archery who gained Fakenham’s only first position“ Richard Added, “the team is resting for a week and then will be back into training for the Village Games 2015. We entered for the first time in 2013 and have won the N Norfolk heats both times and are improving in the finals. Rebecca Codman said” we had a great time and are already looking forward to next year. I am working with my personal trainer Nikki Pearce and will ensure I attend all the PT in the park sessions between now and June 2015”.
