< CLUB NAME and/or LOGO > 4-H SHOOTING SPORTS MATCH - <Type of Discipline> MONTH DAY, YEAR – City, KS Location / Building Name – Street Address (brief directions - optional) The < CLUB NAME > will be hosting a shooting sports match for <Type of Disciplines>. This match is a state qualifier. All levels of shooters are invited to participate from 4-H age <age range>. NOTE: the minimum age to participate at the State Match is 9 years old before Jan. 1, < Year >. Registration form and fees are due by < TIME >, Month Day, Year. Late registrations only accepted to fill relays. Fees are $10 per shooter per discipline and $10 per team. We will only accept registration from one person per county and this person will be notified of relay times. Each county must have at least 1 scorer for each discipline to help with scoring behind the line. Registration begins at < TIME >. each county needs to verify their shooters/teams information when checking in for correct age, disciplines, and teams. NOTE: Age brackets may be adjusted after all registrations have been received. BB Gun: Shooters will shoot 10 bull shots in each of the 4 positions. Rules will follow the current Daisy National Match Program rules (NRA BB Gun rulebook with some modifications). Individual awards will be given to the top 3 shooters in each division in the following age groups: 8-9, 10-11, and 12-14. Team awards will be given to the top 3 teams overall. To qualify for the State Match in BB gun, the minimum individual score is 325. Air Rifle: Shooters will shoot 20 bull shots in each of the 3 positions. Rules will follow the current CMP National Standard 3-position Air Rifle rulebook. Individual awards will be given to the top 3 shooters in each division in the following age groups; 8-10, 11-14, 15 & up. Team awards will be given to the top 3 teams overall. To qualify for the State Match in air rifle, the minimum individual score is 400. Air Pistol: Shooters will shoot 20 shots at 4 bulls (5 shots per bull). Rules will follow the current NRA-USAS Progressive Air Pistol rulebook with the following classes: 4-H Sporter and Open Class. Juniors age 13 and under will shoot one or two handed unsupported. Seniors age 14 & up will shoot one handed unsupported. Individual awards will be given to the top 3 shooters in each division in the following classes: JR 4-H Sporter, SR 4-H Sporter, JR Open, SR Open. Team awards will be given to the top 3 teams overall. To qualify for the State Match in air pistol, the minimum individual score is 250. Archery: FITA Course of Fire: 4 ft. FITA targets: Shoot 24 arrows outdoors at a state match committee approved event. Practice will consist of 6 arrows at 40 meters for Seniors and 6 arrows at 30 meters for Juniors prior to competition. Archers will have a total of 4 minutes to shoot each 6 arrow ends. 2 minutes is allowed to look for lost arrows after each end. Juniors: 12 arrows at 30 meters and 12 arrows at 20 meters. Seniors: 12 arrows at 40 meters and 12 arrows at 30 meters Qualifying scores required: Recurve -Bare Bow: 80 out of a possible 240 Recurve -Olympic: 120 out of a possible 240 Compound -Bow Hunter: 160 out of a possible 240 Compound-Open: 180 out of a possible 240 Shotgun: Trap: Shooters will shoot 2 rounds of 25 for a total of 50 at 16 yards. The shooters will shoot 5 shots in each of 5 positions, take a short break and then shoot another 5 shots in each of the 5 positions again. We will be using the Orion Scoring System for scoring. The qualifying score is 30 out of 50. New shells only, no reloads. NO BARRELS RESTING ON TOES, FOOT OR POINTED AT ANY PART OF THE BODY! Individual awards will be given to the top 3 shooters in each division. Team awards will be given to the top 3 teams overall. To qualify for the State Match in Shotgun Trap, the minimum individual score is 30. Shotgun Skeet: Shooters will shoot 50 clays and the qualifying score is 25 out of a possible 50. We will be using the Orion Scoring System for this match. ***Note that a shooter must qualify in both trap and skeet to shoot both at the state match in September.*** ****If you qualify in trap and skeet you are qualified to shoot sporting clays at the state match in September. You must shoot all 3 disciplines to qualify for the National 4-H Championship Match.**** Individual awards will be given to the top 3 shooters in each division. Team awards will be given to the top 3 teams overall. To qualify for the State Match in shotgun skeet, the minimum individual score is 25. Shotgun Sporting Clays: Shooters will shoot 50 clays and the qualifying score is 25 out of a possible 50. We will be using the Orion Scoring System for this match. ***Note that a shooter must qualify in both trap and skeet to shoot both at the state match in September.*** ****New this year…if you qualify in trap and skeet you are qualified to shoot sporting clays at the state match in September. You must shoot all 3 disciplines to qualify for the National 4-H Championship Match.**** Individual awards will be given to the top 3 shooters in each division. Team awards will be given to the top 3 teams overall. To qualify for the State Match in shotgun sporting clays, the minimum individual score is 175. Smallbore Rifle: Qualifying Course of Fire: A/51 Targets: Shoot 3x10 course of fire at 50 yards at a state match committee approved event to include 10 shots each in prone (1 min per record shot), standing (2 minutes per record shot), and kneeling (1.5 minutes per record shot). Targets will be changed after each position. Qualifying score: 175 points out of a possible 300. Individual awards will be given to the top 3 shooters in each division. Team awards will be given to the top 3 teams overall. To qualify for the State Match in smallbore rifle, the minimum individual score is 175. Smallbore Pistol: Slow fire - B16 target;10 minutes for 10 shots Timed fire - B8 target, 20 seconds per string of 5,2 strings of 5 Rapid fire - B8 target, 10 seconds per string of 5, 2 strings of 5 Shoot 30 shots (10 shots each Slow fire, Timed fire, and Rapid fire) at 25 yards (or 50 feet if 25 yards is not possible) at a state match committee approved event. (see Course of Fire above). Qualifying score: 125 points out of a possible 300. Individual awards will be given to the top 3 shooters in each division. Team awards will be given to the top 3 teams overall. To qualify for the State Match in smallbore pistol, the minimum individual score is 125. Muzzleloading: Qualifying Course of Fire: TG2406 target: Shoot l0 shots at 50 yards - 8 ring target TG2427 target: Shoot 10 shots at25 yards - bottle target Qualifying score: 40 points out of a possible 200. Individual awards will be given to the top 3 shooters in each division. Team awards will be given to the top 3 teams overall. To qualify for the State Match in muzzleloading, the minimum individual score is 40. A concession stand will be available provided by < CLUB NAME > families.
