Aplayerwithabloodyinjuryorbloodonhis/heruniformmustleavethegame.Theplayermay
notreturntothegameuntilthewoundisnolongerbleeding,thewoundiscoveredand/orthe

PLAYERS
Rosterssizeisunlimited,pleasenotethatonlydoubletheamountofplayersonthefieldwillbe
awardedIntramuralChampiont-shirts.Sevenplayerspersideareonthefieldatonetime,six
playersandonegoalie.Ittakesaminimumoffiveplayerstostartthegame,fourplayersand
onegoalie.Substitutionsarepermittedathalf-timeorinballpossessionsituationswherethe
ballisoutofplayoveragoallineorsideline.Eitherteamcansubstituteduringaninjury,
providedtheballisoutofplayorthereisalackofthreat.Youmusttellarefereebeforeyou
substitutewhentheballisoutofplay.
Co-Edteamsmustplaywiththreewomenandfourmen.Co-Edteamsstartingw/fiveplayers
canstartwith2menand2womeninthefieldandakeeperofeithergender.Howeverhaving
morefemalesonthefloorthanmalesisnotpenalized.

SCORING
Agoalisscoredwhenthewholeballhaspassedoverthegoalline,betweenthegoalposts,and
underthecrossbar.Ballmaystrikethepostbeforeenteringthenetonagoal.Agoalisone
point.
MERCYRULE
Ifateamisaheadby8,ormore,withfiveminutesremaininginthesecondhalfandthegameis
deemeddangerousorlackadaisicalbytheofficialsitmaybecalled.

Eachteamwillbegiventheopportunitytoattemptfivepenaltykicks.ForCoedtheremustbe3
girls2menintheirlineup.Theteamwhichscoresthegreaternumberofgoalsshallbe

GAMEPLAY A. BalloutofPlay
Theballisoutofplaywhenithascompletelycrossedthegoallineorsideline,onthe
groundorintheair,orwhenplayhasbeenstoppedbyanofficial.
B. Throw-In/Kick-In
Whentheballhascrossedthesideline,itisputbackinplaybyeitherathrow-inorkick-in
fromthespotwhereitwentout,byaplayerfromtheoppositeteamthatlasttouchedit.A
goalcannotbescoreddirectlyfromathrow-inorkick-in.
C. CornerKick
Whentheballhascrossedthegoallineafterlastbeingtouchedbyaplayerfromthe
defendingteam,itisputbackinplaybyakickfromthecornerofthefieldnearesttheside
itwentout.
D. GoalKick
Whentheballhascrossedthegoallineafterlastbeingtouchedbyamemberofthe
attackingteam,itisputbackinplaybyakickfromthegoalareabythedefendingteam.

GOALKEEPERS
A. Onceagoalkeeperhasgainedcontroloftheballhe/shemustreleaseitintoplaywithinten
seconds.
B. Afterreleasingtheball,thegoalkeepercannotplaytheballagainwithhandsuntilanother
playerhastouchedit.
C. Anyviolationoftheserestrictionswillresultinadirectfreekick.
D. Allgoalkeeperinfractionsthatoccurinthegoalboxwillresultinadirectkick.
E. Thegoaliemaypickuptheballifitispassedbackedtothembytheirownteam.Thegoalie
mayonlyreceiveonepassfromtheirteammatesuntilanopposingplayertouchestheball.
F. Thegoaliemaythroworpunttheballpastthecenterline.
INFRACTIONS

B. Opposingteamisawardedadirectkickfromthepointofinfractionwhenaplayer:

o Playerwithouttheballattemptstoobstructanopponentwhoisattemptingtoplay
