POSITION DESCRIPTION POSITION TITLE Online Communications Producer POSITION NUMBER TAC JG JG 4 DIVISION COMMUNITY RELATIONS BRANCH The Community Relations Division is responsible for engaging with the Victorian Community regarding Road Safety and does this through a number of Marketing campaigns and partnerships. The division also incorporates internal and external communications, research, government relations, policy and review and business performance reporting and analysis. Corporate Affairs LOCATION Geelong: Travel to Melbourne may be required ORGANISATION TAC REPORTS TO Online Communications Manager NUMBER OF DIRECT REPORTS 0 FINANCIAL ACCOUNTABILITY 0 JOB PURPOSE The Online Communications Producer is responsible for creating and coordinating content across the TAC social media and online assets, managing the TAC social media advertising and reporting through social media analytics. In addition, the Online Communications Producer is responsible for providing communications support to numerous campaign related websites and social media accounts. There is a particular emphasis on creating content to help grow and develop the TAC social media audience. This role will work proactively with the TAC Community relations division to ensure content is well written, relevant and current. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES 1. Drive ongoing development of processes for managing online content including: the supply and approval of content; liaising with content providers; and updating the content across TAC online assets 2. Producing content across TAC social media assets 3. Community management of TAC online community 4. Managing advertising across TAC social media assets 5. Reporting on social media analytics and provide strategy to maximise TAC engagement and reach 6. Support TAC marketing and communications teams through social media content and strategy 7. Ensure online governance and publishing standards are applied across the TAC’s website and social media assets. 8. Work collaboratively with various business units to ensure the organization is using the web effectively as a communication channel. 9. KEY SELECTION CRITERIA RELEVANT WORK EXPERIENCE & SPECIALISED KNOWLEDGE Experience in an online communications position Demonstrated ability to understand communication needs and provide solutions for all levels of an organisation. Experience with an online content management system and online publishing environment. Experience managing an online community and producing online content Excellent project and time management skills, ability to multitask, prioritise workloads and meet tight deadlines. Competent in briefing and managing agency creative or freelance photographers and videographers.
