Hang it from a tree and let keiki hit the bal- 11 Play estimation games. ie: Ask “How many cups of water do you think will fill this pitcher?” 12 Help your keiki water the plants. Talk about what plants need to grow. 13 Say four words in a row that all rhyme except one. Can keiki ID the one that doesn’t rhyme? 14 Number and dot 10 cardboard pieces. Can keiki can clip the correct number of clothes pins to each piece? 15 Help your keiki cut out triangles and squares. Let her try making patterns. 16 Ask your keiki to draw a picture of himself. Let him know it’s called a “self-portrait.” 17 Make music together using empty glass bottles or jars and metal spoons. 18 Cut shapes on different sides of a large box. Fill old socks w/sand or rice to toss into the openings. 19 Use chalk to draw a hopscotch pattern on pavement. Have keiki name each number and hop on it. 20 Fill empty soda bottles with a cup of sand, & cap. Line them up and let her use a ball to knock it down. 21 Give keiki a bubble bath tonight. Let her scoop the bubbles up with her hands or hide her toys. 22 23 Take your lunch outside for an instant picnic. 24 Lay a blanket under a tree and read a story with your keiki. 25 Frozen dessert: Pour juice into ice trays & insert a popsicle stick in each cube when half frozen. 26 Take a walk together and talk about what you see. 27 Walk around the yard with keiki & find objects to compare: talk about weight, texture, shape, etc. 28 Have your keiki tell a story of her own.
