Washington Youth Golf Academy at Camas Meadows
The Washington Youth Golf Academy (WYGA) at Camas Meadows is a place for youth of all ages and
skills levels to engage in the game of a lifetime. Our specialized golf academy provides world-class instruction
through multiple PGA Professionals with specific and proven areas of expertise. We know that one person
cannot be an expert in all areas of golf, that’s why we have a unique team approach to provide youth with the
most skilled training available. Our belief in community outreach leads our efforts to grow the game and
develop future community leaders through the tools golf provides for success on the course and in life. In
addition to gaining abilities in a game of a lifetime, our programs inspire character growth, long-lasting
friendships, and life skills to prepare youth to achieve their personal goals. We believe that golf is more than a
sport and integrate our core values: Community, Friendship, Character Development, and Fun into all
that we do.
Our professional staff includes Bryce Poulin, Director of Player Development and accomplished youth golf
community member and technology lead, Chris Garrison, PGA, “The Northwest’s Short Game Coach” and
recipient of two Pacific Northwest PGA awards in player development, Bob Duncan, PGA, international oncourse teaching specialist, Golfer Positioning System founder and Master Clubfitter, and Steve Yang, PGA,
accomplished teaching professional in youth coaching. Bryce, Chris, Bob and Steve highlight our specialized,
fun and energetic team at the Washington Youth Golf Academy at Camas Meadows!
From our exciting Junior and Teen group-level programs to our Spring Break & Summer Camps, and from our
Team Play matches to the PGA Junior League and exciting special events, we have something for every youth

Three-level learning program to accommodate all skill abilities. Fun, game-based learning with on-course
experience on Camas Meadows Golf Course. Each level provides further advancements, with each one
progressively building on the previous. Juniors earn achievement prizes when completing exciting
assessments to graduate each level! Programs meet 1 hour per week for six-weeks. Each class meets at the
Driving Range.

Two-level Get Golf Ready training program made specifically for Teens. Significant on-course segments
on the Camas Meadows Golf Course to become ready to play on your own! Fun and social environment
made just for Teens! Fun, engaging curriculum tailored specifically toward the lifestyles of teenagers!
Mt. St. Helens (Level 1) - Two 1-hour sessions for 3 weeks

Team Play - $99



Ages 7-17
4 nine-hole sessions
Youth must have access to golf clubs
Social, league type environment for players with Intermediate to Advanced skill. Casually-competitive 9
-hole matches in various formats including Match-play, Best-Ball, Scramble, Stableford and more.
Introduction and instruction from the pros, with golf course supervision. Appropriate yardages played
depending on age and skill ability! We take care of reserving the tee-times, all you have to do is show up and
play! Sessions will be in the late-afternoon on the same day of the week for 4-weeks. Meet and play with new
friends!

Prerequisite: Junior or Teen Programs strongly encouraged

Great introduction to the game of a lifetime for Spring Break and those with a busy Summer schedule!
Fun, learning atmosphere covering all aspects of the game including, Woods, Irons, Chipping, Putting, Golf
Etiquette and Course Management! All attendees receive WYGA camp memorabilia! All equipment is provided!

PGA Junior League
With over 18,000 youth playing nationwide, PGA Junior League Golf is
designed to bring a “Little League” atmosphere to the game of golf. With
teams of boys and girls, age 13 & Under, and 16 & Under, PGA JLG
provides a structured league environment for young golfers to compete and
have fun! This is a great way to get, and keep, kids involved in the game!
All skill levels are WELCOME!
The objective of Camas Meadows Team is to have FUN playing golf at our
facility and visiting our local competitors in 2015. Juniors must have access
to golf clubs, and parents are responsible to transport players to and from
the golf course.
Practices: Begin April 15th. All practices are held at Camas Meadows.
Matches: Begin 1st week of May. Matches will be on Monday, Tuesdays, or Wednesday evenings starting at
5:00 PM or 5:30 PM. Matches will be at Camas Meadows and at other local golf courses within the area. 6 to
8 matches will be scheduled, one a week until the middle of June.
13 & Under (Ages 9-13) League - 8 and under are welcome if they have a family member on the team or
are able to play up! Team members: 10-12 players
16 & Under League - In 2015, the 16U Teen League has launched for boys and girls 16 & under! Players are
permitted to play in both 13 & under, and 16 & under leagues. Team Members: 4-6 players
$200.00 per Player - includes team practice, golf green fees, snacks,
beverages, Team golf shirt, Team golf hat, golf balls and a bag tag!

WYGA Special Events
The Washington Youth Golf Academy at Camas Meadows is exciting to share our special events calendar with
our community. Our special events are for all ages and skill abilities of youth, and offer a wonderful
opportunity to enjoy golf with friends, family and other youth during exciting, unique programs. In 2015, we
will hit golf balls at GolfZilla, an enormous inflatable monster, crown the Camas Meadows Big Break Team
Champion while conquering the flop wall and glass breaking challenge, and tee up glow balls on our 5-hole
mini course, plus much more. Whether it’s a family golf game night, or teeing it up with our professionals, join
us for a guaranteed fun time at our WYGA Special Events! *Sign-ups are only required for Bob Duncan’s
GPS Programs and the Pro-Junior Tournament.



Drive, Chip & Putt Training Series - $99
Want to give it your best to Drive, Chip and Putt your way to Augusta
National for The Masters? Participate in our 4-week training series to
receive professional coaching designed for youth preparing for the National
Drive, Chip and Putt Championship. We will work on specific components for
success in the drive, chip and putt categories, and give it a go in our
simulated-competition, conducted exactly how it will be done in the real
competition. WYGA at Camas Meadows prizes and awards will be given at the
end of the DCP simulated-competition! Give it your all to reach Augusta!





Bob Duncan – Golfer Positioning System (GPS)
Bob Duncan, 30-year PGA Teaching Professional and WYGA at Camas Meadows staff member, brings his
revolutionary training program to the WYGA at Camas Meadows this Summer. Ever have great success
on the driving range…but can’t seem to bring the same repetition to the course? The GPS, Golfer
Positioning System, is designed to teach on-course playing principles that produce exceptional play.
Bob Duncan’s GPS program has expanded internationally with certified teachers in Australia and in the
United States. Let’s face it, when is the last time you got a lie exactly like you have on the practice mat?
Exactly, never. Join us in August 2015 to raise your on-course performance and lower your scores
through Bob Duncan’s Golfer Positioning System (GPS). For more information on the GPS System visit
