2017 SEASON INFORMATION
Welcome to Eaton Netball Association’s 2017 Season. Our competition consists of:

NetSetGo Skills/Activities (10wk program) Saturday mornings – commences Saturday 29th April 2017

NetSetGo Competition Saturday mornings – commences Saturday 29th April 2017

Primary School Juniors Saturday mornings/afternoon – commences Saturday 29th April 2017

High School Juniors Tuesday afternoons – commences Tuesday 2nd May 2017
REGISTRATION PROCESS
Registrations open on the 1st March. Prior to players registering, we require Team Managers or Coaches to complete the online
Team Registration Form for their team, which can be found by following this link:

themselves via the registration form, which can be found under the ‘Season Information’ tab on the Eaton Netball Association
website. Each participant is required to register online and pay the appropriate fees at the time of registration. If you have played
previously, please use your Player ID to log in. If you know your team name already, select it from the drop down box at the
‘Select Your Team’ section. If you are unsure, please select ‘no team/not applicable’ and we can locate your team later.
As in previous seasons, Coaches, Team Managers, Scorers or all other Volunteers are required to be affiliated through WA Netball.
This is purely for insurance purposes. There is no fee payable for this affiliation and the appropriate registration forms can be
found on the ENA website under the ‘Season Information’ tab. Please ensure all fields are completed prior to lodgement to assist
in the registration process.
*Please note, it is a requirement of ENA that all Saturday teams have a coach who is accredited at a minimum of the
Foundation Coaching level and that ALL teams have a manager who is over the age of 18 years.
2017 FEES
Below is the fee structure for the 2017 season. For the past few years, ENA has been in the financial position to subsidise fees,
however the Association is no longer able to do this, so fees have had to increase this year. The season fees for each participant
includes court hire, umpire payments, an umpiring and coaching development levy, Sportsbag Application administration cost,
affiliation with the Eaton Netball Association, the South West Netball Region and Netball Western Australia and insurance.
Additionally, as a member of the ENA, each participant, (and their family), get membership to the new Eaton Sports Complex
which will be completed partway through the season.

Online Player Registration Forms need to be lodged by the 31st March 2017. Full payment of fees are required by credit
card when registering. Please do not miss this cut-off date. Any concerns please contact the Registrar.
KIDSPORT FUNDING
Kidsport funding is available through our Association. Full payment of fees are required upfront when registering online. Once a
player is registered, you are required to lodge a Validated* Kidsport form with Eaton Netball by no later than 31st March. Forms
are available to be downloaded from the ENA & Dept. of Sport website http://www.dsr.wa.gov.au/funding/individuals/kidsport
or from your local Shire office. All forms are to be validated by your local Shire Office. Once your validated form has been
received by ENA and we have received the reimbursement from the appropriate Shire, you will receive a refund of monies to the
value of the funds available to that player on the validated voucher.
*It is the parents’ responsibility to follow up on Kidsport vouchers with their local Shire and to lodge them with ENA.
COACHING REQUIREMENTS 2017
All ENA Coaches must have completed their Foundation Coaching Course to be eligible to coach a team in 2017. If you have
already completed your Foundation Coaching Course, please advise us of your certificate number and the date of completion
via email to [email protected] .
The Foundation Coaching Course is an online course, can be accessed through the Netball Australia website
http://netball.com.au/get-involved/coaching/accreditation-2/ The course needs to be paid for by the coach at the time of
enrolling, and after the course is complete, the Eaton Netball Association will reimburse the fee.

PLAYERS WHO DO NOT HAVE A TEAM
We encourage all players to get together with friends and form a team but understand that sometimes this is not possible. ENA
welcomes individual nominations and will make every effort to find a team, but placement cannot be guaranteed. Where a
placement is made, Parents/guardians will be required to assist the team as best they can as ENA cannot provide coaches,
managers or uniforms etc. If an individual player is unable be placed in a team, ENA will refund full fees. Fees will NOT be
refunded if the player changes her/his mind after registering. When registering as an individual player, at the ‘Select your team’
drop down box, choose ‘Individual Nomination’.
BIRTH CERTIFICATES
All new players must supply a copy of their Birth Certificate (Hard copy please) to your Team Manager to be lodged with the
Registrar by end of registrations (31st March). If you have supplied a copy of your birth certificate last year you will not need to
supply it again this year.
WORKING WITH CHILDREN CHECK
All persons over the age of 18 who are holding the responsibility of Coach, Manager, Score Volunteer or are helping the players in
any way and do not have a child within the Association, must apply for a Working With Children Card (WWCC). If you are a
parent who is coaching, Managing, Score/Volunteer of a team, you do not require a Working with Children Card.
WEEKLY GAME COURT FEES
No weekly court fees are required. All court fees have been absorbed into the Registration fee for the year.
TEAM UNIFORMS
Uniforms are the responsibility of each team and we ask that managers indicate their team’s uniform colours on the Team
Registration Form. In the event that there is a clash of uniform colours, the ‘away’ team on the fixtures will be issued a different
coloured set of bibs to wear for that game. Players must be in their correct uniform by the 3rd fixtured date to avoid a penalty.
UMPIRES
Eaton Netball is proud to encourage all young aspiring umpires and welcome any new players/parents to come on board.
Coaches, Managers, Volunteers, Parents and spectators are reminded not to disrespect our young umpires and be mindful of

GAME SCORERS
Each team must supply a game Scorer for their team’s fixtured game. How to score information is located under the score sheet.
We encourage all teams to set in place a roster for all parents to learn to score. HOME Team (left of page) is assigned to the
scoresheet and AWAY team (Right of page) is assigned to visual checks. Scorers and any other volunteers are required to register
for insurance purposes and can do so by completing the ‘Non Player Registration’ form, which can be found under the Season
Information tab on the ENA website.
**Please note, as we do not score for the NetSetGo Skills/Activities or NetSetGo Competition, scorers are not required. However, if you are volunteering and
assisting in any way, please complete the Non Player Registration’ Form online form.
HELP NEEDED
We have been fortunate to have a number of new faces join our committee for the 2017 season, however, there are always
plenty of jobs to be done. So if you have some time on your hands and would like to help out in some capacity, please contact one
of the Committee Members below. You will be very welcome 
