JD Template Dec 2014 Job Title Faculty/ School/Department Responsible to: Responsible for: Library Support Assistant Library and Learning Resources Andrea Lambon Job Purpose To support the day-to-day operation of Library and Learning Resources through library stock work and assisting library users in the Library. Main activities and responsibilities 1. To shelve and tidy, including moving library stock 2. To discard library materials 3. To check the library shelves for requests, lost queried items etc. 4. To move boxes of library material between different areas of the Library 5. To clear library material from study tables 6. To assist library users in library use in line with training received and refer to other sources of help where necessary. 7. To participate in the Library & Learning Resources student engagement strategy by feeding back to library staff on the students’ perception of Library & Learning Resources services. 8. To participate in building checks to support the monitoring of the Library and Learning Resources environment. 9.
