Manchester County FA: Just Play application
What is Just Play?
Just Play is exactly what it says on the tin. It is a national project which will be rolled out locally across Manchester County to
encourage participants aged 16+ to get back into football and ‘Just Play’.
For some players affiliated football is not an option, for a range of reasons, such as time or commitment. For these players,
FA Mars Just Play offers a viable alternative to allow them to engage with the game in an organised, but informal way –
Something that hasn’t been on offer before.
Want to encourage adults back to football? Do you already have a session for players aged 16+ where they can turn up, pay
and play?
What is a Manchester County FA Just Play Session?
A Manchester County FA Just Play session is a brand new initiative which looks to support private, recreational bookings
across the County by signing them up as a private ‘FA Mars Just Play’ session.
This now means that 10 friends who play on a weekly basis together, privately, can receive additional benefits which have
never been previously available to those who just want a ‘kick about’.
By signing up to become a Manchester County FA Just Play session, you are committing to promoting the FA Mars Just Play
brand and adding more value to your weekly football experiences. Best of all, its FREE to sign up!
Apply to register your project as a Manchester County FA Just Play Session!
To register your centre as a Manchester County FA Just Play session you will need to complete the application form. The
completed application form should be sent to Daniel Pilling (Just Play Officer). You will get a response within 28 days of
submitting your application. If successful, this will serve as your service level agreement for the agreed period.
What will you receive if successful?
If your application is successful:




FA Mars Just Play Flyers (On Request)
Continued support from the Just Play Officer/Football Development Officer from Manchester County FA.
Marketing support from Manchester County FA (Presence on the Manchester County FA website, social media on request)
You will receive the following equipment and kit: (After completing a 4 week trial period)
o 2 x Nike size five footballs
o 2 x sets of FA Mars Just Play Bibs
o 10 x FA Mars Just Play Bus Pass Holders


The opportunity to purchase additional FA Mars Just Play kit, equipment and incentives at a reduced cost.
An online registration system/ a register template to use at your session to record participation.

As a Manchester County FA Just Play Session:
If your application is successful, you will agree to*:




Deliver a minimum of 26 weeks of Just Play activity for individuals aged 16+
Encourage new participants to join your session
Encourage other individual groups to sign up the become a FA Mars Just Play session
Utilise the FA Mars Just Play equipment/kit
*If your application is successful, but you do not adhere to the actions stated in the SLA, you will have to return all
equipment and cover the cost for replacing any which is not returned by the FA Mars Just Play Session group.
