2017 SEASON ANNOUNCEMENTS
GENERAL
Legion Parking
We have been asked to remind all parents that the lower parking lot at our facility is reserved for the POST 210 legion
members, our veterans and those that are going into the Legion Building. The POST 210 will tow your car in 2017!
The access road between the fields and the school will be CLOSED during games and will be barricaded off! Please do
not drive around the barricades.
The area south of the concession stand is for Board Members and Umpire parking only. SIGNS WILL BE POSTED!

Sign up to the ALYB text RainedOut system on our website. Cancellations and rain outs will be texted/emailed to you.
If you have registered in the past, you do not have to register again.

The ALYB baseball complex is a private park and we want all in attendance to enjoy their time at our facility!
FUNDRAISING
The ALYB Board will be asking all ALYB players and families to participate in our fundraising events for
special facility projects. More details will be released soon. Thank you in advance for participating!
A,B,C,D LEAGUE
April 8 and April 15
Player Evaluations on A league Field - If your child is new to the league or is requesting to be reassigned they may
need to be evaluated. If you are unable to attend, your son/daughter will be assigned a team in the league lottery.
C League – 10:00 am
B League – 11:00 am
B –1:00 pm
A League – 12:00 pm
April 9
Rain Date for Evaluations – C – 12:00 pm
A – 2:00pm
Volunteers Needed
We will be holding a League Work Day on April 22 at 8:30am. We need all of the volunteers we can get to get the fields
ready for the season.
May 20, 2017
Opening Day Ceremonies and the official start to the 2017 season. Festivities will begin at 11:00 am. This will
also be our picture day. Packets for the pictures will be handed out prior to Opening Day.
May 30, 2017
Official start of the D league season.
July 16, 2017
Beginning of league post season. Single elimination.
July 20, 2017
Awards Night - Player participation awards and championship trophies will be handed out on the A League field.
Friday/Sunday Games
Depending on the number of teams that we have at our park, an occasional Friday/ Sunday game might be scheduled.
PONY LEAGUE
April 15, 2017
Player Evaluations - Open to all players beginning at 1:00 pm on the Pony League field
May 22nd
Official start of the 2017 Pony league season
July 21- July 23
Vermilion County Pony League Post Season Tournament
Coaches will begin calling players after April 24th.
