DarAlriyadh is established in 1975 and the owner for company is Prince Turki A. Abdulrahman Al Saud. They are providing service for Engineering and Architect also, Construction and procurement. They are having vision to raise Saudi Engineer. Under DARALRIYADH Company there are 4 divisions each division handling specific things. They are having over 2000 qualified professionals with local and international experience. Main Office of Daralriyadh in Riyadh and have other branch in Khobar, Jubail, Jeddah and Yanbu. Since my major is Management Information Systems (MIS), the training was at the Department of Human resource. I worked in several Sections such as: Personnel and Recruitment. My Training period for 6 Months Started from 9 June 20112 until 9 December 2012. Since my major is Management Information Systems the training was at the Department of Human Resource. HR Department divides into 3 Sections: Personnel, Recruitment, and Mobilization. Personnel including: Contracts, Certificate for Employment, salary, and Experience. Recruitment including: Sourcing, Screening, and Selecting. Mobilization this is whole process for non- Saudi employees. In addition, I worked in all these sections. The details of each task will explain briefly within the report. DARALRIYADH Company Background: * DAR ALRIYADH: Dar Al Riyadh was established in 1975. Prince Turki A. Departments: Engineering and Architect(E&A) Division: This is Main Division under DAR RIYADH company it is provided engineering services in Design, Engineering, Project Management, Construction Supervision, Infrastructure, Industrial, Buildings, Telecommunications, Petrochemical, Environmental, Utilities and Community projects from preliminary studies through site investigation, master planning, design, engineering, urban planning, and culminating in the preparation of contract documents, specifications and construction drawings. Client Support Services Division (CSSD): Provides highly technical onsite consultants and technical/operational staff across disciplines to a wide range of public and private sector clients in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This division targets some of the major industries and markets like Oil & Gas, Refineries, Petrochemicals, Power Generation & Distribution, Desalination, Telecom and Information Technology. Some of Clients are: SABIC, Samref, Mobily..Etc. CSSD employs expert engineers in disciplines including – Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Process, Civil/Structural, Who have Expertise on Design, Construction, Supervision, Maintenance, Testing…etc. MASDAR: focused on providing engineered products and economic solutions in the fields of Electrical, Communication, Mechanical, Instrumentation & Oilfield Equipments catering to the process & utilities requirements for the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Power, Water, Chemical and other Industrial & Institutional Clients. Geographical Information Systems(GIS): Global positioning Systems (GPS),geodetics Surveying , Cadastral Surveying , Remote Sensing , Map Production, Image Processing , Photogrammetric , Tracking System (AVL) , Digital Elevation Modeling ,3-D and fly-through simulations , and lots more. Corporate Division: Provides Finance, HR, IT, and the other positions. Each Division has marketing Strategy, but the main marketing that wins employees, grows Services, and enhances reputation. Dar Alriyadh care about the Company's reputation in first place because that will make the company name establishing more and attracting the perfect employees for Dar already and when this happening that will increasing the benefit for it. Also, dar alriyadh has CSSD division they own a unique marketing. They provide employees for many clients and if provide a perfect employee that will help to rise company reputation in good way. Alfalak Job History: Job/ Job Description : June July Personnel Section: W1:9- 13 W1: 7- 8 I worked one month in Personnel Section this Section W2:16- 20 Providing all service for employees. I learned how to W3: 23- 27 do Contract for new employee and other requirement W4: 30- 4 for employees such as: Experience Certificate, Employment Certificate, and Salary Certificate. This section also, providing service for new employees they are preparing offer for employee to sign it, preparing finger print for attendance, and ID for Employee. So, this section concern for all requirements of employees. Also, I learned the system for HR department how they keeping the document for each employee in Dar already Server. Recruitment: W1: 9 – 11 I started learned another section in HR is Recruitment W2: 14- 18 this W3: 21-25 step including: Sourcing, Screening, and Selecting. My training period for this section is Two Months. The process is you should have Job Description For Specific Position, and then my task is Searching for CVs matching with Job Description. After that I do phone interview to double check if he/ she Qualified for the position, then I prepare Interview between Candidate and GM (General Manger) I'm Still learning In PRF this Sheet preparing for each employee Including: personal information with his offer and CV to calculate his basic salary with Housing allowance and transportation allowance. Conceptual framework: Personnel Section: I learned one month in this section. My job is preparing Contract for new hires for Company, If the employee request for Salary Certificate I prepare this Certificate based on his Data sheet on the system I just write his name, Iqama Number or National Number in both English and Arabic languages. Also, if he need for Experience of employment Certificates I do the same Steps but in the Experience I write the Date from Start his job until the date I did this certificate. I learned about annual leaves and the Types of leaves Such as: In- King Dom Leave, Out of King Dom Leave, In- King Dom Business Travel, and Overseas. I learned their system is (Document manager) this system keeping the document for each employee like his Contract. Leaves, PRF… Etc. This System makes the process easier for the personnel employee to keep their time and to make the work faster and to avoid annual process. Recruitment Section: I started learned another section in HR is Recruitment this step including: Sourcing, Screening, and Selecting. My training period for this section is Two Months. The process is you should have Job Description for Specific Position, and then my task is searching for CVs matching with Job Description. Also, I still learning the PRF system this system related for Finance Department for Employee's Salary. Technical part: Samples of the programs that has been working on it: My work depends on employees’ requirements and scanner. They have system called “Document manager" From this scan scanning the document and save it in the index. It will appear as batch in index with the name for who scan it and which department. The index keeping document I entre the employee number and in which division, to save all document for Employees. This page for scanning to keeps document. When you open this page you will find in the above scan you click on it to scan document. Here the system now scan the document I just did test for empty paper, now I click on save to keep it in index. Now, as you can see the document became as batch and with my name and which division. The system keep the Batch I click on this link to enter the Data. Here I can create document As you can see the green box including: employee ID, Full name, employee status, and division. I enter all these data then I create a document for this employee in document Manager. This Page when you enter to Document manger System you can search for any employee and which type of file you need In this box you can enter all employee information then click OK you will see all the documents. Recruitment Section: They taught me the new system for recruitment status to keeping all CVs to make it easier for our GM. 1st Enter username and password. 2nd when you enter you will find this page to choose which division you want. 3rd you will choose recruitment Summary then Manage Resume Then you will enter all data for Candidate like, Name, Qualification, experience, nationality and current position and Company. Then you click save to find the record on the list. ( See Below Picture) Evaluation of the internship experience: Training experience at DRA ALRIYADH in Khobar was very helpful to me. I learned a lot of skills will help me in work area. HR department allowed me to identify the system of company which is “Document manager” its support employees to keeping their time and using this system to final all information for the whole employees in dar alriyadh. Recruitment allowed me to communicate with candidates and evaluate them if they are qualified or not, so the interview for the candidates depends on my evaluation for them. This experience is great because it’s a big opportunity in my life I tried the work area totally different from the university because in work you can show for others your skills and what you learned during your bachelor degree. Summary of findings and recommendations: 1. Increasing number of Saudi Employees within high positions. 2. Decrease the non- Saudi employees specially, Indian Nationality. 3. Make the team work interesting between male and Female Section with trusting each other's work. 4. Observing employees work. Conclusion: The vision statement drives DAR ALRIYADH company future to be flourishing and can achieve all the objectives for the company, Also, driven by people to keep going and to work hard to achieve the vision for the company because dar alriyadh is huge and handling 4 divisions each of them can achieve different objectives for the company. Also, this company caring about Saudi people to be all of them working and decrease the number of unemployment and this is important goal for the company to encourage our Guys and girls to get a job and to trying the work environment. My internship experience very helpful because its affect in my life and my behavior. I learned how to manage my time, respect the time if you have meeting or my attendance and leaving, because that will reflecting my personality and my behavior. . I am so glad to have the opportunity of training in this unique company. I discovered the work environment, how to deal with the problems and solve them. I have grown a sense of self-confidence and face the difficult things.
