Preparation
Checklist

Ask an Elder or spiritual leader to be present at the session to say a prayer, bless the
meal, and maybe give a short talk about the importance of seeking help.

Tobacco and smudge pack

Create “Four Step Plan” Poster. This could be written on chalk board, white board,
flipchart, or sheets of paper.
1. Finding out the person’s FEELINGS
2. Identifying the PROBLEM(S)
3. Exploring RESOURCES
4. Move to ACTION

Set up one table for the puppet show. Cover the front of the table with a tablecloth to
hide the puppet show performers.

Review and set up the video OR discuss goals of this session with the speaker.

