The Customer Services Agent is the first point of contact for members of the public within the
terminal and its immediate external areas and must ensure all queries are dealt with in a
professional and timely manner.
Key Duties:
 Provision of information to public and other airport users
 First Aid service and follow up care to customers and staff (First Aid certificate
required).
 Maintenance of passenger flow to meet operational procedures
 Oversee all aspects of terminal and landside operations to ensure optimum use of
resources
 General day to day administration and clerical duties
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
 2 GCSE’s grade C or above in English and Maths or equivalent OR significant proven
experience in a customer facing role
 Experience of Microsoft Office e.g. Excel and Word
 Working knowledge of cash handling procedures
Preference will be given to applicants who:
 Hold a second level education in a relevant discipline, i.e. travel & tourism / customer
services
 Hold a first aid certificate / have previous experience carrying out first aid.
 Experience of working in the transport/travel industry;
 Experience of Customer Services within an airport environment;
The salary scale for this position is £25,000 - £30,000 (full-time) per annum and £12,500 £15,000 (part-time) per annum.
Normal average working hours will be 42 full-time and 21 hours part-time per week and will
involve shift work, including weekends
