ANNOUNCING PRICE CUTS FOR THE OASIS ULTRA-LIGHT AND
STANDARD EDITIONS AGRICULTURE DATABASE SOFTWARE
ODENTON, Md. – (April 24, 2015) – Effective May 1, 2015, software license prices for
the Operation and Agriculture Supply Information System (OASIS) Ultra-light and
Standard Editions are significantly reduced. Core product features that allow farm
managers to store and analyze their operating records across the agricultural
production cycle are still available. The Standard Edition for five users and one year is
reduced from $485 to $210 – a 56.7 percent decrease. This new price translates to
$3.50 per user per month. The following list provides product SKUs and prices:

The Ultra-light Edition, which is the PC and laptop version, is now a free product that is
distributed as part of training and coaching to farmers. This value-added service
provides technical assistance to improve farm business operations.
A high priority is to help farm owners and managers to find ways to maximize production
at lowest operating cost and with efficient usage of input resources – with particular
attention on water supply. An included feature is the management of water sources,
which enables the manager to track how much water is being used and relate it directly
to harvest yield. By seeing the connection between water usage and crop harvest, the
farm manager is able to decide on an amount of water to produce an amount of output.
The price reduction is driven by market demand to reach small- and medium-sized
farms, and also by an innovative plan to provide the Web application globally.
