Dear Parents:
Before you set off for your vacation, please take a moment to look through the information provided.
On our classroom webpage page you will find information for the 2016-2017 school year including
supply lists, classroom schedules, and suggested summer activities. It is important for students to
engage in academics during the summer in order to maintain their skills. Some of the suggested
activities include:
❏ Read Read Read!​
Read to your child as this helps build their vocabulary, model fluency, and
instill a general love of reading.
❏ Write Write Write!​
Keep a daily journal including experiences, activities, photographs, and
adventures that you and your family take over the summer.
❏ Math Math Math!​
Excel worksheets will be sent home in a packet for your child to work on
over the summer. Highly recommended, but not mandatory.
We have posted the supply list for the 2016-2017 school year. Please bring these items to school
during our Open House on Monday, August 22nd, from 10:00am-12:00pm.
Open House is an opportunity for you and your child to tour the classroom, drop off supplies, and
pick up information regarding resource schedules and school happenings. Our first day of school will
be Tuesday, August 23rd.
Please note the arrival time for Elementary students is between 8:00 and 8:10, and we begin
promptly at 8:10 each day. A teacher will open the car door and greet your child. Please be sure to
remain in your vehicle at all times as a safety precaution and courtesy to others. As a reminder,
questions, or concerns should be addressed with teachers outside of pick up/drop off times.
Our school uniform helps your child to focus in our learning community and fosters school spirit.
Your child is expected to be in proper uniform everyday except for optional dress days and after
school sport programs.
