This highly informative and topical presentation, will address
human impact on the environment, climate change, indigenous
peoples, extreme weather conditions, invasive species and
current crisis worldwide.
Forests Alive! (K-8)
Join us on an exciting adventure, as we explore the weirdest - the
rarest - and most wonderful species of temperate, mangrove and
tropical forest ecosystems.
Canada: A Romp Through the Rainforest (K-6)
Join Loretta as she explores B.C.'s forests with the Dididat and
Nootka peoples of the Nuu-chah-nulth First Nations. Learn
about their rich native culture and their connections to forests
and oceans.
In My Shoes (Gr 5-12) Adapted
With an emphasis on "compassion", students will journey "in
the shoes" of others. Through REAL LIFE stories, students
will gain a heightened awareness of the challenges faced by
others every day.

Black History: An Ancestral Journey

Re-trace our family's roots as we embark on our generations
past great granddad's historic journey, from the heart of
Africa to the New World. This presentation is told from an
African perspective.

LORETTA PENNY (Presenter)
Loretta Penny is an author, award-winning
presenter and former African Safari Tour
Leader. An enthusiastic advocate of “real
world learning”, she has delivered over 4,000
presentations, in her lively 29 year career. In 1993, Loretta
received the coveted O.P.S.T.F.’s “Meritorious Award”, given for
outstanding achievement to education in Ontario.
MICHAEL MCLEAN (Assistant)
Michael McLean is a researcher, educational assistant and powerful defender of
human rights for marginalized, homeless
and indigenous peoples worldwide. His
extensive life experiences, sense of adventure and street
knowledge, challenges and empowers students to make a
difference, for the common good of the world.
