The Alamo Hoops Men’s League is played on National Federation of High School Rules.
Rule Changes:
TIME: Two-22 Minute halves, running clock until last minute of the 2nd half.
Clock will not stop if one team has a 15 point lead or more.
OVERTIME: 1st overtime - 1 minute – stopped clock.
2nd Overtime is sudden death. First basket wins.
Each team will be given 1 timeout for each overtime.
Timeouts will not carry over.
TIMEOUTS: Each team will have 3 timeouts per game.
Only in the Championship Games, each team will have 4 timeouts per game.
OFFICIALS: LET THE REFEREE’S MAKE THE CALLS, PLAY BALL!!!!.
ONLY TEAM CAPTAINS ARE ALLOWED TO SPEAK TO THE
OFFICIALS DURING TIMEOUTS.
Roster: Teams will have until week 3 to add or remove players from their rosters.
After week 3, rosters will be final. Any player added before week 3 will have to pay
full price $70.00
REPLACEMENT PLAYERS: No Replacement players will be allowed without the prior approval
of Alamo Hoops Director and the opposing team Capitan.
Please do not show up on game day with replacement player(s).
Please call in advance.
If any team has 5 players from the original roster,
replacement player(s) will not be allowed.
NO REPLACEMENT PLAYER(S) WILL BE ALLOWED FOR
TEAMS IN THE PLAYOFFS HUNT FOR WEEK 7, 8 and
CHAMPIONSHIP GAMES.
FOULS: Each player is allowed 6 fouls per game.
FREE THROWS: Teams will shoot 2 free throws on the 8th team foul. NO 1 AND 1.
LANE VIOLATION: You must wait until the Free Throw shooter releases the shot before
entering the lane.

TECHNICAL FOULS: THE FIRST (T) GIVEN TO ANY PLAYER DURING THE GAME,
PLAYER WILL BE BENCHED FOR 3 MINUTES. IF A PLAYER
RECEIVES 2 TECHNICAL FOULS THEY WILL BE AUTOMATICALLY
EJECTED FROM THE GAME.
THIS WILL RESULT IN THE PLAYER BEING SUSPENDED FOR THE
NEXT GAME.
A PLAYER MAY CHOOSE TO PAY THE REINSTATMENT FEE $30 TO
ALAMO HOOPS AND PLAY THE NEXT WEEK’S GAME.
PRE-GAME WARM-UP: Teams have 3 minutes on the court to warm up before their game.
No dunking during warm ups!
NO HANGING ON THE RIM AT ANY TIME!
SCOREKEEPERS: Please do not address scorekeepers, just check into the game only.
QUALITY COMPETITION: Alamo Hoops wants all games to be competitive.
We want honest and loyal players only; please consider this when
signing up.
SAFE, COMPETITIVE: Games will be competitive and intense; however they should also be fun.
Any type of profanity and/or disruptive behavior will be not tolerated; with
grounds for ejection.
Possible expulsion from the league can occur.
Just another game of Basketball: Alamo Hoops should be a fun and family oriented
Environment for people who enjoy watching/playing
basketball. Whether you are a Group A player or a Group B
player, everyone will be treated equally. Alamo Hoops will not
tolerate any taunting- period.
FORFIETS: GAME TIME IS GAME TIME. EACH TEAM IS REQUIRED TO HAVE 4
PLAYERS ON THE COURT AT THE START OF THE GAME. FAIL TO DUE
SO WILL RESULT IN A FORFIET.
All teams are required to notify Alamo Hoops director 24 hours in advance.
In the event you do not comply there will be a $70.00 fee accessed.
$35.00 to opposing team and $35.00 to Alamo Hoops
Special circumstances will be handled case by case.
UNIFORMS: You choose. Teams are responsible for your own team jerseys, they must all
match. Teams have until week 3 to all have matching jerseys.
MAKE SURE ALL JERSEYS HAVE NUMBERS.

JEWELRY: Please remember to remove all jewelry before the start of each game.
No jewelry of any kind is allowed.
Alamo Hoops will not be liable for any jewelry related incidents whether
self inflicted or to any other player (s).

SCHEDULE SUBJECT TO CHANGES: Please check the website on game day to verify
your teams schedule. Changes do occur.
SMOKING/ALCOHOL/DRUG POLICY: Don’t do it, before, during or after the game.
Especially on the Church’s property.
Anyone who violates this policy will be asked to
leave the premises and expulsion from
Alamo Hoops.
FAMILY & FRIENDS: Family and Friends are always welcome. Please advise
your fans they must not taunt any player on the court.

No heckling the Referee’s.
Any fan that can not follow these rules will be asked to leave the gym;
they will be banned from the gym for all future games.
Team Capitan’s will be responsible to enforce these rules.
GYMS: Please respect the gym’s premises and property. Please do not touch anything that does
not belong to you other than material required to play basketball. If anything is destroyed
the player (s) will be liable.
PAYMENT: Cash, Check or Credit cards are accepted and can be paid at the gym.

LATE FEES: $10 late fee will be assessed to any player who does not meet payment deadline.
NO EXCEPTIONS!
REFUND POLICY: No refunds will be given to any player (s) or teams after the first week of
the season.
TEAM CAPTAINS: Name speaks for itself. You are responsible for your team on and off
the court. Please share all pertinent information provided to you with
your teammates.
INJURIES/LIABILITY: All players must read and sign the Release of Liability Form
prior to participation of any game. NO EXCEPTIONS.
Alamo Hoops and St. George Maronite is NOT liable or responsible
for any injuries that may occur during league play.
Alamo Hoops will do their best to provide a safe environment of all
teams and it players.
Alamo Hoops will not be held responsible for any type of injuries.
