easyBid enables each school district to input requirements
electronically, aggregating these requirements, and delivering
a report to the joint purchasing board. The intermediate unit
or joint purchasing board must then solicit sealed bids from
vendors. easyBid will electronically communicate the
specific requirements to each vendor, ensuring that each
vendor has the identical requirements information. Further, as
most states require sealed bids to be opened in a public
forum, easyBid will only allow the bids to be opened together
on the specified date and time.
The school district, intermediate unit, or joint purchasing
board reviews the bids and awards to the selected vendor –
notifying the vendor and the school districts involved via the
easyBid application. School districts may now make
purchases against the award. If the district is using
eSchoolMall’s easyPurchase online procurement solution,
they may browse the awarded vendor’s e-catalog, hosted by
eSchoolMall and accessible via the easyPurchase application,
view the unique pricing associated with the award for their
school district, and then, of course, purchase items online.
