Letmetellyoualittleaboutmyself.Ihavebeenmarriedtomyhusband,Jim,for
23years.Weareblessedwithfourchildren.Ourdaughter,Bari,attendsASU,andour
son,Thomas,isasenioratPerryHighSchool.Ourtwins,CalebandJoshuaareeighth
gradersatEDUPRIZE.Ourfamilylovestotravelbothwithinthestatesand
internationally.IhaveaBachelor’sDegreeinElementaryEducationfromLouisianaState
University.Thiswillbemy11th yearofteachingwithsixofthosehereatEDUPRIZE.
Wewillbeexploringfour9-weekcottagesthisschoolyear.Ourcottages thisyear
willinclude:ArizonaHighways,ReptileRanch,ConservationPlantation,andGrand
CanyonMarketplace.
IanticipatemeetingeachofyouatourOpenHouseonMonday,July24th. The
suggestedtimeforourOpenHouseisfrom9:30a.m.- 10:15a.m.,butIwillbeavailable
throughouttheday.Thisdayisagreatchancetoseeyourclassroom,meetyour
classmates,pickupcarpoolinformationanddropoffyourschoolsupplies.
Parenthelpersarestronglyencouragedandarealwayswelcomeinourroomto
enhanceandfacilitatelearning.DuringtheOpenHouse,Iwillhaveaquickformforyou
tofilloutlettingmeknowwhenyouwouldliketovolunteer.Idoask,however,thatyou
waituntilafterthefirsttwoweeksofschoolbeforeyoustartvolunteering.Thiswillgive
ourclassachancetoestablishroutinesandproceduresaswellascommunitybuildingat
thestartoftheschoolyear.
OurfirstdayofschoolisWednesday,July26th.Allstudentsmustbepresent
thefulldaytobeconsideredenrolledatEDUPRIZE. DuringOpenHouse,Iwillletyou
knowwhereourclasswillbeliningupoutside.Onthefirstday,Iwillbeoutsidetomeet
andgreeteveryoneat7:15a.m.FortheAMTOPSSchedule,schoolbeginsat7:20a.m.
andendsat12:30p.m.MondaythroughFriday.Studentsshouldbeinlinereadytobe
pickedupat7:15a.m.

oflearningandlaughteraheadofus.Iwillbesuretokeepyoupostedonouractivities
