NETBALL SEASON 2015
Hi Everyone
Welcome to a new season of netball with Kohia Terrace School. The grading games begin on
14th May 2015 and the season finishes on 27th August 2015.
The KTS netball trials will begin next week for Year 3-8 players. Trials will take place on the
bottom courts at lunch times on the days specified below. All players trialling will need to bring
their lunch, water bottle and wear appropriate footwear.

Competition Information
Windmill Road competition:
Year 3 – Some changes this year
- 9 weeks of skill sessions and games played across two thirds of a netball court.
- Rounds consist of 15 minute skill session followed by a game of 3x10minute periods.
- 5 a side, rolling subs
- maximum of 9 players per team to allow for maximum opportunity (recommend 7 players per
team)
- Games and skills sessions played on Thursday afternoons 4.00pm | 4.50pm | 5.40pm
Year 4
- Games will be 40 min duration – 4 x 10min quarters
- Up to 12 players per team
- Play with size 4 ball and goal posts 2.6m
- No rotations
- Competition games Wednesday afternoons 4.00pm | 4.45pm | 5.30pm |6.15pm
Year 5 & 6
- Games will be 40 min duration – 4 x 10min quarters
- Up to 12 players per team
- Play with size 5 ball and goal posts 3.05m
- No rotations
- Competition games Wednesday afternoons 4.00pm | 4.45pm | 5.30pm | 6.15pm
AMI Competition
Year 7 & 8
- Played at Morrin Road, Mt Wellington
- Games are 40 minutes duration: 4 x 10 minute quarters.
- Competition games are played on Tuesday afternoons: 4.15pm, 5.05pm or 5.55pm | 6.45pm
Cost
The cost of fees for the season is $100 per player. This fee covers registration, prize giving,
equipment, uniform and provision of an umpire for all games. Any questions regarding fees

Fees need to be paid by 27 March 2015.
Umpires
This year an umpire we will be requesting an umpire for each game for the Year 4-8
teams. This will allow coaches/managers to dedicate more time to the players. The umpires
are offered by AMI Netball at a cost of $10 per game which will be covered by the fees.
Teams
Teams will be selected based on children’s ability shown in the trials. With the arrival of new
children and improvement of skills in other children, teams may not necessarily be the same
as previous years.
Player Responsibility for Training and Competition Games
As part of their commitment to a team, players are expected to attend every training session
unless illness or injury. Players need to wear the appropriate footwear for training and to each
game along with the correct uniform. Bringing a full water-bottle to training and games is
recommended (no sports drinks please). Players are expected to have their hair tied up,
pinned back and nails trimmed short.

March 2015.
