SEL-351R-4 Terminal Block
for Field Wiring
Introduction
The SEL-351R-4 may be supplied with an accessory terminal block, which
provides terminations for the voltage channels, incoming power, and access to
+12 V Aux and +24 V. This accessory may be ordered installed at the factory
or as a standalone accessory. The following instructions provide the
installation details for the standalone accessory.

Installation
IMPORTANT: Consult the
SEL-351R-4 Quick-Start Installation
and User’s Guide when performing the
following steps.
Step 1. Install the terminal block assembly on the studs in the lower
left of the cabinet. It may be necessary to temporarily remove
the end stop or slide the terminals on the DIN rail to access the
nuts.
Step 2. Route the accessory cables toward the left of the cabinet
interior, and down the back left corner towards the ground lug.
Follow the main harness along the bottom left edge of the
cabinet towards the control module.
Step 3. Unbolt the wire clamps holding the main harness in place from
near the control cable receptacle to the uppermost clamp at the
side of the control module.
Step 4. Use wire ties to secure the accessory cables to the main harness
along this section.
Step 5. Install the existing spiral wrap around the section of the cable
bundle that passed through the wire clamp at the bottom of the
swing panel.
Step 6. Route the cable bundle through the wire clamps and secure the
clamps with the nuts that were removed at the beginning of
Step 3.
Step 7. Route the cables over the top of the control module. Loosen
each of the two existing cable clamps from their respective
studs, attach an additional clamp opposite each existing clamp
so the accessory cables run parallel to the wire harness, and
then fasten each pair of clamps to the studs. If the unit is
already equipped with the two extra cable clamps, route the
new cable through them.
Step 8. Install the included accessory terminal block label on the inside
left side wall of the cabinet.
Step 9. If installed, remove the jumpers connecting Z07 to Z26 and
Z10 to Z28.
Step 10. Remove any customer-installed wires connected to the Voltages
terminal block (connections Z07 through Z12) of the control
module. Reconnect these wires to the appropriate positions on
the bottom side of the Accessory terminal block, per Figure 1,
and the label installed in Step 8.
Step 11. Remove the STC connected to the control module at positions
Z07 through Z12.
Step 12. Install the STC at the ends of the harness to the Voltages
connections (Z07 through Z12) on the control module.
Step 13. Attach the remaining wires from the Accessory terminal block
per their labels and Table 1. Remove the labels if desired.
Step 14. If the jumpers referenced in Step 9 were not present, remove
the jumper wires on the Accessory terminal block between
positions 1 and 7 and positions 4 and 10.
