Dear Colleague:
I have spent over 30 years in mathematics education, working in schools and
with students who represent a greatly diverse student population. With much
study, practical experiences as a teacher, supervisor and math coach, I have
developed an extensive knowledge base of what works and what doesn’t. I
designed this seminar based on the most current and effective ideas, strategies
and activities that can truly help your grades 6-12 math students.
With greater emphasis on both high academic rigor and high expectations,
it is increasingly important that we can design and provide instruction and
assessment in the classroom that are focused on the needs of ALL our students.
Of course, major challenges we face are accommodating the individual and
collective needs and abilities of our students, and focusing and aligning
instruction to support student understanding and knowledge of key math
concepts, skills.
I designed this seminar to provide you with the most current, best, practical
strategies and research-based ideas for grades 6-12 math. My goal is to provide
you with easy-to-use and classroom-proven activities, teaching techniques
and cooperative grouping methods. I will share effective individual and group
formative assessments, and ways to integrate teaching and learning strategies
that address the unique math needs of your grades 6-12 students.
Please join me for an engaging day devoted to strengthening our math
instruction in grades 6-12 as we discover and examine the best, most current,
strategies for teaching math. My personal goal is to provide you with many
concrete ideas and strategies to help ALL your students become successful
in mathematics.
I designed this seminar
Sincerely,
to provide you with the
most current, best, practical
strategies and research-based
ideas for grades 6-12 math.”
