REQUEST FOR ALL PARENTS
th
Famiy Fun Day – Friday 19 May 2017
Parents are invited to come along with their child
between 10.00 am and 2.00pm to take part in a fun filled
day of activities such as face painting, bouncy castle and
a visit from The Animal Man. More information to
follow.
If your child is going to be off nursery for any reason
could you please phone and let us know. This also applies
to children in the Out of School Care as it is important
that we are aware of which children we need to pick up
and saves other children waiting around while we try to
locate your child.
0-2 Learning
The weather didn’t dampen the outdoor Stay and
Play sessions. Parents actively participated in their
children’s learning by helping to plant strawberries, take
part in an Easter egg hunt and explore the outdoor
environment. This term the song of the month will be Baa
Baa Black Sheep.
2-3 Learning
The children have been learning about spring and
nature as it wakens from its winter sleep. They have
been caring for our plants and wildlife in order to make
sure they have enough food.
All children and their parents had the opportunity to
plant pansies and potatoes in our nursery garden as part
of our Stay and Play sessions.
This term the children will be learning about spring
through stories, songs and rhyme and will also learn to
take care of the nurseries own baby chicks.
