The game will end at that time even if time remains on the game clock. Check off which of the three is applicable Enter length of each period. Circle stop time for each period. Affix a label to all four copies. Indicate C’s and A’s and identify AP players Enter player names who are suspended and the number of games (1 of 1, 1 of 3, 2 of 3 etc.). Just write down the numbers that the referee gives you in the proper column Note: it is helpful to keep a scrap piece of paper on hand to write down the time on the clock when the whistle blows and then record the information as the referee gives it to you and then you can take the time to ensure that you are entering the information in the proper location. Page | 6 HEO Minor how to fill out Game Sheets – Recording penalties pg 1 Chose the correct side of the game sheet to record the penalty What period did the penalty occur in What is the number of the penalized player How many minutes did the referee say the penalty was Some penalties require the removal of the penalized player. Here is where you indicate the number of the player serving for the removed player. The penalty abbreviations are on the back of the game sheet Page | 7 HEO Minor how to fill out Game Sheets – Recording penalties pg 2 Translate the referee signal and enter the abbreviation for the penalty from the infraction list Time on clock when the player is sent off When is the penalty starting; if more than two penalties have been assessed prior to this one, the clock will only start this penalty once one of the previous penalties has ended The player will come out of the penalty box after the duration of the penalty; if a goal is scored during the powerplay, record the time of the goal as the “on” time and instruct the penalty box attendant to let the player out Otherwise, it is the same time as when the player goes off Page | 8
