Registration night is on Monday 22nd August
Registration and bookings will be taken in the Club House Bar at 7.30pm on Monday 22nd August and thereafter
every Thursday at 7.30pm for the following weeks training.
Half-hourly sessions available from 5:30pm – 9:00pm, Monday to Friday, and booked in advance
Boats and Tank at weekends and times not stipulated above are available on a first come basis restricted
to half-hourly sessions, if other crews are waiting.

Notes:
1.
The event will be run in accordance with British Rowing Rules of Racing and the Water Safety Code.

Events will be held in the following categories: Men, Women, Senior Men, Senior Women and
Mixed. For senior crews, all crew members must be other the age of 35 (excluding the cox). In
mixed crews, at least two rowers must be women. Doubling up (rowing in two categories/crews) is
permitted. Tripling up is prohibited.

The Regatta will take place on Saturday 24th and 25th September. If weather conditions prohibit
rowing that day, the event will be rescheduled to the nearest suitable alternative dates. Trophies
will be presented to the winning crews in each category in the event. Each crew that enters the
event is guaranteed at least two races at the Regatta. Thereafter the event proceeds on a straight
knockout basis.

Entry fees are £140.00 per 4 person crew, or £35.00 per head if paying individually. All crews are
requested to raise sponsorship equal to and in addition to their entry fees to be donated to the
nominated good causes for the event, Keep Wales Tidy and Velindre Cancer Centre. Please note
that, once a crew is registered and has paid its entry fee, no refunds can be provided in the event
any crew is forced to withdraw for whatever reason.

Entry is open to anyone aged 17 or over who has not previously competed in a rowing event under
the British Rowing Rules of Racing. All competitors must be capable of swimming 50 meters in light
clothing unaided.

Llandaff Rowing Club will provide all necessary equipment, coaching and coxes. Each crew will be
entitled to book one land based and two water based training sessions per week. Land based
training will be conducted either on indoor rowing machines or in the indoor rowing tank. Water
based training will be in suitable stable boats. Additional training sessions may be possible,
depending on demand for equipment and availability of crew, coach and cox.

Initial registration and payment of entry fees will take place on Thursday 1st September,
commencing 7.30pm, at Llandaff Rowing Club, where training slots will be allocated for the
following week on a raffle basis. Thereafter, training slots will be allocated each week for the
following week on the same weekday night, in the same manner as the initial allocation. It is
essential that one member of each crew is available to attend each allocation evening to ensure
that slots are booked for the following week.
8.
Individuals or groups without sufficient numbers to form a full crew are encouraged to attend and
crews will be fashioned from such as far as possible.
9.
All are encouraged to attend the Saturday night party that will be laid on for the event.
10.
Entries limited to 16 crews per category.
