CV Blazers - 2015 Coach Selection Criteria
The Central Victorian Blazers Hockey Club is seeking expressions of interest for the
following coaching positions in 2015:
- Women’s Vic League 1
- Women’s Vic League 1 Reserves/Development coach
With both teams performing strongly in 2014, the club is seeking a head coach who can
develop our list and take the Vic League squad to become serious finals contenders with
the aim of promotion to Premier League in the following years. The squads have a mix of
experienced players, students and juniors with a vast array of talent and experience
including Premiere League, State and Australia Country level. Due to the Clubs central
location we attain players from all over the region including players from the Goulbourn
Valley and Wimmera Associations. CV Blazers Hockey Club is located in Bendigo, with both
a sand pitch and a brand new water based pitch.
The successful applicants for the coaching positions should:
- Create and clearly communicate a framework to continue to develop the Vic
League and reserves squads
- Have a proven ability to train, develop and motivate players to succeed
- Have the ability to develop and implement training schedules for both pre-season
and regular season sessions
- Develop game strategies which foster improvement in the playing group and longterm success across both teams
- Be available for training two nights per week
- Be able to work with the club’s administration and the assistant coaching panel
- Have played/coached hockey at an appropriate level; and
- Have a minimum level 1 coaching qualification
Terms and remuneration are negotiable based on experience and individual
circumstances. This is a fantastic opportunity to coach at an elite level with the challenge
of developing into a team capable of competing in Premier League Hockey.
