Evaluation Careful monitoring of pupils causing concern will continue each year. Any concerns highlighted will result in planned intervention. Positive play development is a key objective for the year 2012-13 and will be developed as a whole school initiative. Much of the work needed to accommodate individual needs for academic and social development has now been undertaken. The environment will continue to be monitored for shortfalls that can be addressed. Increased opportunities for Extra curricular activities at lunchtime have been introduced. Date Reported to Governors May 2013 and termly afterwards. Review A programme of intervention for pupils who need extra support has resulted in nearly all pupils meeting and exceeding age related expectations. A programme of training play leaders has been introduced. These play leaders will impact upon positive play on the playground at playtimes and lunchtimes. They will encourage positive use of equipment and participation in organised games for all. A number of improvements to toilet facilities, the library and a specific classroom ‘The Rainbow Room’ has ensured that all children are able to access facilities to support their academic, social and emotional needs. A number of extra curricular clubs are now being offered at lunchtime in addition to after school activities. Clubs such as music, nature club, book study group and the school magazine have encouraged larger numbers of children, including children who take buses at home time, to become involved.
