Both participants and parent(s) / guardians must read this Acknowledgement of Risk and Waiver of Liability
carefully and in its entirety. It is a binding legal document. This form must be signed by you as the participant
AND by your parent or legal guardian. I, the undersigned, am aware that participation in Robb Akey University
of Idaho Football Camp (“Camp”) may include activities that are risky and dangerous. Both participant(s) and
their parent(s) / guardians (“I”) acknowledge and accept the risks and give permission for participation in the
Camp. I acknowledge that participation in this Camp has the following non-exhaustive list of particular activities that bear risk and danger and from which bodily injury to myself, or my child, up to and including mortal
injury, may occur: physical and sports activities; bone fractures; muscle strains and sprains; head injuries;
heart malfunctions; injuries sustained from other participants; activities supplemental to the Camp, such as
walking to and from sites of interest; use or operation, by myself or others, of equipment; being outside or in
the presence of inclement weather conditions including, heat and wind; contact with plants, animals or other
environmental hazards; transit to or from the Camp locations and activity locations; staying overnight on
or off campus; rendering of first-aid, emergency treatment or other services; consumption of food or drink;
or other unknown and unanticipated activities and risks. In consideration of the University of Idaho (“UI”)
permitting me/my dependent to associate with the Camp, I and my dependent hereby voluntarily assume all
risks associated with participation. To the extent permitted by law, I agree to indemnity, defend, save, hold
harmless, discharge and release the State of Idaho, The Regents of the UI, their agents and employees from any
and all liability, claims, causes of action or demand of any kind and nature whatsoever which may arise by or
in connection with my participation in any activities related to the above name Camp, whether caused by the
University’s negligence or carelessness. It is my express intent that this Acknowledgement of Risk and Waiver
of Liability shall serve as a release, discharge and assumption of risk for heirs, estate, executor, administrator, assignees and all members of my family. I understand that disregard for University of Idaho policies and
applicable laws may be considered grounds for dismissal from Camp, and prompt return home at my/parent
expense. I hereby certify that my dependent is in good health and I know of no medical reason why he/she is
not able to participate in this Camp. I hereby consent to first aid, emergency medical care and if necessary,
admission to an accredited hospital when necessary for executing such care, for treatment for injuries that he/
she may sustain while participating in any Camp associated with the above named Camp. I agree that you may
photograph my child during, and in connection with, the Camp. I agree that you shall be exclusive owner of
the photograph and copyright and other rights of the photograph.

VANDAL ATHLETIC TRAINING ROOM

VANDAL TEAM ROOM
Description: Campers will experience
first-hand the same teaching and philosophy
the Vandals experience. This is a fast paced and
energetic atmosphere that features morning
individual practice sessions, 1-on-1 competitions,
overtime challenge, afternoon team practice
sessions and scrimmages, strength and conditioning
instruction, an overtime tourney and much more.
All campers will receive a camp T-shirt. Camp will
conclude with scrimmages on Thursday morning.
Personal Instruction: At all of
our camps, the Vandal coaching staff is devoted
to giving hands-on, personal attention to every
camper, including instruction by one of the nation’s
premier strength coaches, Jake Scharnhorst. Above
all, our campers will learn what it means to be a
Vandal both on and off the football field.
Check-In: Check-in for camp will take place
at the Wallace Dorm Complex on the University of
Idaho campus. For the high school camp,
registration is June 18th from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m.

Health, Safety, and
Insurance Coverage: All
participants must be covered by personal medical
insurance. Because of the rigorous daily schedule,
each camper is encouraged to come to camp in good
physical condition. Every effort is made to protect
the health and the safety of each camper through the
athletic training staff, supervised warm up periods,
constant inspection of equipment, and responsible
instruction. Campers without proper physician and
parental signatures will not be allowed to participate.
Water will be available at all times.
Location, Supervision, and
Facilities: The football camp will take place
on the University of Idaho campus in Moscow, Idaho.
Campers attending our high school camp will be
able to receive informative instruction in our world
class Iverson Speed and Strength Center located in
the Kibbie Dome. Meals for the camp will be served
in the Wallace Dining Center on an all-you-can-eat
basis. Overnight campers will stay in the Wallace
Complex, conveniently located directly adjacent to
the practice fields. Security and Medical personnel
will be available at all times during our camps.

weeks’ notice before the start of camp.
What to Bring to High
School Camp: Campers need to bring
cleats, shoulder pads, helmets, football pants, and
knee, thigh, hip and tail pads. Campers also will need
to bring bedding, pillow, towels and toiletries. There
are laundry facilities available at the residence halls.
**Refunds: Should you not be able to participate in the
full camp, because of serious injury, or other unforeseen
circumstances, refunds will be honored. Refunds will only
be given if the circumstances result in you leaving camp or
not attending at all. A $40 dollar administrative fee will be
applied to all refunds given after camp has started.
