ENTRIES
All entries are to be submitted on the correct entry form. These forms
are attached and also available on the Athletics Tasmania website.
ENTRY FEE
INDIVIDUAL Entry fee is $15.00 (incl GST) per person per event
TEAM Entry fee is $55.00 (incl GST) per team
LATE ENTRIES
Late entry fee is $30.00 (incl GST) per person per event and will apply
to all entries submitted after the closing date.
REFUNDS
No refunds will be issued for any reason.
CLOSING DATE MONDAY 19 JUNE 2017 at 5.OO PM
Individual late entries will be accepted until one (1) hour before the scheduled start time
of the particular event and must be accompanied by the late entry fee of $30 (incl GST).
CONFIRMATION: Teachers or individual athletes must collect chest bibs no later than
40 minutes before the scheduled start time for the athlete’s event.
MARSHALLING: Athletes must report to marshalling area no later than 20 minutes
before the scheduled start time for their event.
ATHLETE ELIGIBILITY: Athletes must be age eligible and bona fide primary or secondary
school students enrolled at a government or private school/college or are engaged in
approved home schooling on the day of competition. All competitors must wear their
approved school athletic uniform during competition. If one is not available competitors
must wear a white singlet or top.
SCHOOL TEAMS: Three runners constitute a scoring school team. There is no requirement
to pre-nominate the three runners who make up a school’s team(s). If there are more than
three runners in any event from any one school, the school’s first three runners to finish will
constitute the first team, the next three runners from that school, the second team from that
school, and so on. To make up a team, all runners must be from the same school. Composite
teams are not permitted. Please note: the $55.00 team entry fee covers all competitors in an
age group where there are 3 or more runners.
NB: Age of competitors will be taken as at 31 December 2017. In order to compete in
this competition, athletes must be born in 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008.
MEDALS / AWARDS: Gold, silver and bronze medals will be awarded to the first three
individual place-getters in each event. There will also be team placings in each event with
medals being awarded to the first three school teams to finish. For teams only three medals

will be given to the team. Some delay can occur with team results and medal presentations
will not therefore be made on the day in these categories.

Please note:
1. Events in the 10 Years, 11 Years and 12 Years age groups are selection trials for the State
Cross Country Team to compete in the Australian Primary Cross Country Exchange (Hobart, 1114 August 2017).
2. 9 year old events ARE NOT selection trials for any State team as there is no corresponding
national event for this age group. 9 year olds are not eligible to compete in the Exchange.
3. Please see the 2017 Cross Country Selection Criteria. Full details of the selection policy will be
available by Monday 5 June at www.tasathletics.org.au.
All athletes who are automatically selected will be sent nomination information from Athletics
Tasmania. Athletes must indicate to Athletics Tasmania whether they wish to accept the
nomination by 5.00pm on the following Monday (3rd July 2017).
4. Team Events - where there are less than three athletes from a school in a particular age group,
the individual entry fee applies to those athletes but either the individual or team entry form may be
used. Team placings will be announced at a later date after the collation of all results.
5. All waiver clauses as set out on the individual form apply also to team entries. Teachers must
make athletes and parents aware of same.

for the Championships, Epic Events and Marketing Pty Ltd, any other associated organisation(s), members of the Association and all
sponsors and officials, paid or voluntary and shall so operate whether, to the extent permitted by law, the damage or cause is due to any
act or neglect of any of them.

name or image being used in Athletics Tasmania media releases, publications or displayed on the website of AT or its official
