Dear Parents,
To help students meet their weekly goals, AR nights have been established where students
may stay after school until 4:20 to read, take tests, and check-out new books. We are trying
to schedule these nights to not interfere with already scheduled school activities. For the
month of February, these nights will again be Wednesday nights ONLY. This is open to
students in First through Sixth grade. Students will need to be picked up by 4:20, if they are
not picked up on time, they may lose their privilege to stay.
The past few months, we have incorporated Tri-Learnathon Nights into our AR nights.
Students exercise by running, walking, jumping rope, etc. for the first part of the session,
then read and take AR tests for the second half. Students not wanting to participate in the
exercise portion, may read/take tests.
If you wish for your child to participate in any or all of these sessions, please fill out and return
the bottom of this letter. You may circle days your child will stay.
