Please find enclosed entry forms for the 2009 Regional Triathlon Championships to be held at
Queen Margaret’s School, Escrick, York on Sunday 4th October, 2009.
Individuals may be entered in the Triathlon or Biathlon, there will be a team competition in the
Triathlon for groups of 3 athletes competing in the same class and from the same affiliated club.
Trophies will be awarded depending on the entry numbers as outlined in the MPAGB rules and
classes may be amalgamated should there be a low entry in any particular class. All competitors
entering these championships must be members of the MPAGB or an affiliated club. Cost of
membership is just £7.00 for under 25. Membership forms are available on the web site www.
pentathlongb.org.uk.
The event is the qualifying competition for the National Triathlon Championships at
Wolverhampton on the 14/15th November, 2009. Qualifiers in each class will be the best six
individuals and the first 2 teams. Classes 1 and 2 for 8 and 9 year olds will NOT qualify.
This competition will be run under the old format of separate run and shoot.
Protests will be only accepted from designated team managers.
All entrants and loaders must be competent in their use of pistols and familiar with the law
relating to air weapons. The range officer may exclude any competitor or loader who is
considered unsafe.
Shoot training available please contact Ann Marshall 01262 470413 as soon as possible.
Under no circumstances must Air Pistols be uncased except on the range. The Range Officers
must be obeyed at all times and off the range pistols must remain cased at all times. Any
competitor who breaks this rule will be disqualified from the competition.
