Our Dealmakers Gala is a fantastic opportunity to showcase dealmakers and their advisors, as well as an opportunity to reflect upon and celebrate a job well done. The highlight of our gala is a moderated “fireside” discussion with our dealmakers of the year, who will share their deal stories, insights and what might be on the horizon for them and their companies. Do you know a dealmaker who has completed a noteworthy transaction that deserves special recognition for their achievement? Let us know by completing and submitting the attached Nomination Form! We are looking for dealmakers that have led their company through a successful major transaction (merger, divestiture, acquisition or strategic partnership) in the past 12 months. We will only consider nominees who were executive officers in the company at the time of the transaction, and will not consider nominees that acted in an advisory capacity (for example, financial advisors, legal counsel, etc.). Our panel of judges will review nominations for criteria including: optimal or innovative structure or deal terms shareholder value relative success in prevailing market conditions impact of deal on market share As part of the nomination and selection process, each nominator will be contacted by a member of our Dealmakers Committee to ensure we have a clear understanding of the transaction and the dealmaker’s role in it prior to making a final decision. To be considered, transactions should have a minimum enterprise value of $20 million. The 2014 Dealmakers of the Year were: Richard Harris, Golden Boy Foods & Rob Wildeman, Tricor Pacific, advised by Lazard Jeff Hart, Can-Sure Underwriting Ltd, advised by Capital West Partners Doug Cruikshank, Cruikshank Advisory Group (ACG Builders Award) For event details and to register please visit our website at www.acg.org/bc.
