Call for chief-tutors at Economics and Mathematics-Economics – Study Start 2015 The Faculty of Business and Social Sciences hereby invites applications for 4 positions as chieftutor in connection with the study start at Economics and Mathematics-Economics, September 2015. The position involves planning and running the freshman´s trip, as well as the introduction days for both bachelor and master students. The study start will be carried out in cooperation with the academic student advisors, the Head of Studies and the study start coordinator at the Faculty of Business and Social Sciences. To be eligible as chief-tutor you must currently be enrolled as a student at Economics or Mathematics-Economics at University of Southern Denmark, and you must have passed the firstyear examination. Further we expect you to be: - a committed student at Economics or Mathematics-Economics, with both academic and social skills. - liable and responsible. - outspoken and not afraid to engage in social activities with the freshmen. - motivated and capable of taking initiatives that ensures the freshmen the best possible start at their new study. The Faculty of Business and Social Sciences offers a series of training-sessions for new chieftutors. The purpose of these training-sessions is to make the chief-tutors as well equipped for the job as possible. The dates have not yet been planned. Participation in these courses is mandatory. The salary as chief-tutor covers 40 hours of work and applicants must therefore expect to do some of the tasks involved on a voluntary basis. Applications for the position (marked study start Economics 2015) and relevant attachments must be handed in no later than Wednesday 3rd December, 2014, at 12 am.
