BALTIC STATES CHAMPIONSHIP (THE STATE PRESIDENT’S
PRIZE IN ATHLETICS)
Venue and time: Valmiera, J.Dalina stadium on 10. – 11.06.2017

 Technical meeting in J.Dalina stadium at 1 p.m.
 Start of competition at 3.30 p.m.
 Opening ceremony at 8 p.m.
On 11.06.2017
 Start of competition at 9:00 a.m.
Organiser: The competition is organised by Olimpic Centre of Vidzeme in collaboration with
Latvian Athletics association and Chancery of the President. Competition manages by Latvian
Athletics Association approved judges board. Competitions are organized based on IAAF Rules.
Participants: Latvian, Estonian, Lithuanian National teams and in some disciplines Belarus team
athletes outside the team standings.
Men and women born at year 2001 and older.
Implements: in Throwing disciplines the control (weighing and measuring) of personal Inventory
will be not later than 1 hour before competition in the place of competition.

Each athlete may start in 2 events and in 1 relay race or in 2 relay races and in 1
individual event.
Each team get points from both participants in event.
The scale of Scoring
Each participant of the team wins the points for their team: 1st place – 7 points, 2nd
place - 5 points, 3rd place – 4 points, 4th place – 3 points...6th place – 1 point.
Relay race: 1st place – 6 points, 2nd place – 4 points, 3rd place – 2 points. Wins the
team with the highest amount of points.
In the case of the same points, the highest place take team, which has more 1st
places, than 2nd or 3rd.
Individual athletes
It is allowed to compete individually (outside the team standings). Athletes will be
sorted by the best results of 2016/2017 seasons. Competition organising commettee
sets the limits for the number of participants by disciplines and it will be admitted to
participate not more than:

Victory Ceremonies:
In the competitions there will be 5 awards of President of Republic of Latvia:
3 (three) awards in team ranking (1st-3rd place)
2 (two) awards in individual ranking.
In individual ranking best result /Man and Woman/ will be determinated by IAAF
point tables, except race Walking.
Best race walker /Man and Woman/ will receive a legendary Latvian race walker
Janis Dalins memorial cup.
The winners of competition /1st till 3rd place/ will be presented with a prizes,
diplome and prize money:
1st place in Individual event
1st place in Relay Race

Championship entry standart
