This is a Letter of Agreement between the two parties of _________________High School and the Lone
Star Softball Chapter of the Texas Association of Sports Officials (herein known as TASO).

___________ High School agrees to utilize the TASO for the assignment of softball officials
for the 2011 High School softball season.
___________ High School agrees to pay the officials the game fees as set forth by the
University Interscholastic League (UIL) section 1204.
A.
All game fees for varsity will be $55.00 and Sub-Varsity $45.00 per single game
Plus mileage plus gross gate receipts. Sub-Varsity will have a l hour 20minute

Note:
*TASO defines a Double Header as two games played back to back on the same
day, same field, and by the same exact two teams.
B.
Mileage of $.50 cents per mile round trip (Official’s Home to Game Site) shall
be paid for both vehicles if the officials cannot ride together. When officials do
ride together there will be a $10.00 rider fee.

Fees for tournament games will be $50.00 per official per game for
varsity and sub-varsity tournaments with no mileage, gross gate or per diem.
D.
Fees for playoff games will be negotiated at that time per UIL rules
and regulations, along with per diem over 200 miles round trip.
___________ High School agrees to pay a RETENTION, RECRUITMENT, AND
EDUCATION OF OFFICIALS FEE of $50.00 as per UIL Constitution section 1204 K8.
This fee allows the school to request officials for their scrimmage of any two games (varsity
or sub-varsity). This fee is for 3 hours any additional hours will be charged $25.00 per hour
and due to TASO.

___________ High School agrees to pay the officials assigned to games directly. TASO will
not accept monies from the SCHOOL, booster clubs, or any other organization in lieu of
payment to officials.
TASO will provide the requested number of qualified officials for regular season games on
the dates and times on file with the TASO scheduling secretary Jeanie Breaux.
___________ High School understands that routine scheduling changes must be submitted to
the scheduling secretary at least 48 hours in advance of the change or TASO will not be
responsible for the lack of officials. Failure to notify the scheduling secretary at least 24
hours in advance routine game scheduling changes will cause the SCHOOL to be responsible
for payment of game fees and mileage if the assigned officials cannot be notified before
leaving for the game site. Game scheduling changes due to emergency or inclement weather
are acceptable but the SCHOOL is still responsible for payment of mileage if the assigned
officials are not notified of postponement or cancellation of the game before leaving for the
game site. All of these stipulations will be strictly enforced.
